My mother loved living at the Lodge. She made many friends and enjoyed participating in the activities. Her two bedroom apartment, 224, was the perfect size for her. She loved that the direction it faced provided lots of light especially through her bay window. In nice weather, she took great pleasure in having her morning coffee and lunch out on her balcony and was grateful that she had one of the few apartments with the view of the next door field, with trees and a fountain. We would like to thank the staff at the Lodge for the caring way they provided services to her. She thought moving to the Lodge was the best decision she could have made. We hope someone will see the apartment, want it for their own, and be as happy there as she was.

Every single time I walked into Mom’s apartment, I found myself drawn immediately to the windows. And was always struck by the beauty and serenity of the view. Having lived in the Chicago area my entire life, I can honestly say that there are few places anywhere in Chicagoland with a view as calming and special as this one — overlooking the river and hills, with birds landing on the water, wonderful natural light in the apartment throughout the day, and beautiful sunsets.

The Lodge of Northbrook is warm and welcoming. People are genuinely friendly, both residents and staff. The apartments are spacious with great balconies and lots of storage. There’s always something fun going on, and the food is consistently excellent.
