Moving from independently living in your own home to a smaller space with people to help you is a big change. For a 98 year old friend I love as a “second mother”, it was not easy. Change is hard. With over 40 years of cherished items in her home, we were able to furnish a lovely 1 bedroom apartment with her own bed and furniture. We were able to create the familiar warmth of “home”. The care staff is patient and kind. They give her the independence she values and the respect she deserves. She has the freedom to wake up on her own terms and enjoy breakfast/brunch at her leisure. Whether it’s watching TV, including Dodger games, reading, sending email or playing games on her computer, she is happy to be in a place where friends come to visit and enjoy her company. It’s not perfect. Nothing is. But the staff and Executive Director take the time to know the residents and help them experience fun, joy and love — through their actions or by their kind words. We’re happy and grateful to have her at Ivy Park at Palos Verdes.

I’m a local entertainer that sings in a lot of different facilities in the Southbay Orange County LA area. I love Ivy park Palos Verdes. I’ve been singing there since they opened and the staff are such caring wonderful people when I get there they greet me with a smile they even participate in my song choices. I love interacting with the residence as well

Ever since Ivy took over from it being Sunrise Assisted Living the place has not been the same. There has been several changes in management and staffing. They lack sufficient staff to accommodate the needs of the residents. For the amount of money they charge monthly they should have adequate and more competent staff. The safety of the residents is in question. In my opinion I would not recommend this place for your loved ones.

I was given a tour by Herandy Ramirez she was very knowledgeable and the facility is very clean and extremely friendly staff! I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones!
