At first I trusted that the staff can insure the safety for the elderly, but when I visited on my family member. I was able to walk right in with no one asking a question, or even taking a glance at me. They do have a sign in station for visitors, but they don't check if you sign in. The front staff didn't even look in my direction when I signed in. Currently, I'm seeing how many times I can walk in without signing in before they notice. I'm currently at 3 times. This is 3 times too many, they need to have better staff. Someone can get hurt, if they don't fix this.

It's funny. A few years back, before both my grandparents passed (my grandma then only a few weeks after my grampa) spoke about Shirley. More my grandpa because he was more alert than my grandma was. Trying to take care of her at the same time.. they both were getting up there in age but my grandpa knew how the wind blew. She had Alzheimer's and began to be very forgetful. Shirley was a knocker. Made excuses, wouldn't let us see her. The environment was good but to me it wasn't good enough. My grandma passed then my grandpa passed only a few weeks after. I think from a broken heart. They were married 56 years

Stock Ranch Road Retirement Community is such a warm and uplifting place. I'm so impressed with the staff's commitment to providing safe, loving care and attention to residents, in this time of increased isolation with sheltering in-place restrictions. This is so important. I love seeing Kelly Stimbert's posts every day which give me a glimpse into daily life there. I look forward to the day when I can visit again.
