Oakmont of Fair Oaks

This is professional review- I have been working in senior living for 20+ years and I want to make sure that I give a review that is well deserved. Oakmont Fair Oaks has been brilliant to work with and has done an awesome job to make the residents and families are happy! Linda, the Director of the nursing team, is so amazing at communication and really is an advocate for the residents. I have even heard from family members that she is easy to get a hold of and is good at keeping them informed with how their family member is doing. Also, the new ED, Anyssa (transferred from Oakmont Folsom, past ED transferred to Oakmont East Sac) is doing a great job already and has such a passion for the residents and team members. I witnessed her with a daughter that was getting the run around from a professional. She gave her awesome advice, and it wasn't even for one of the residents that lived there. Thank you, ladies, for your dedication to seniors and their needs! It's clear you are passionate about what you do!

My brother and I searched over 8 places in the Sacramento area to find a place for our father. Our decision, Oakmont of Fair Oaks. We could not be any happier in his arrangements. From the moment we walked in my father felt welcomed. I felt welcomed when I went to visit him weekly. My father was exceptionally happy with Oakmont of Fair Oaks. The care staff were extremely helpful with our father. There were daily activities he could be involved with, there were bi-weekly performances brought in, "sing-song" as he called it. Bingo was his game and our family had to keep him in dimes so he could play. During the seasons, there were themed decorations that made him feel like he was home. Everywhere he turned there was assistance to keep him engaged and included. The dining facility was phenomenal in the variety of meals that were provided. It was never the same thing over and over. The chef, who made it a point to get to know his clients and my brother and I as guests, excelled in the meals and food preparation and presentation. It was not restaurant food, it was gourmet dining that truly made a different. And if our father chose to sleep in or took a nap and missed a meal, the dining facility was open all day for a snack. Our father had a standing breakfast order that the young servers all knew because of the relationships they formed with him and other clients. Our father spent his final days at Oakmont of Fair Oaks and he was very pleased. Each of the caregivers gave him the attention he needed. They also were extremely thoughtful to our family as we too were a part of the journey, staff or family it didn't matter. The level of compassion for his care and comfort made the final transition so easy.

My loving best friend (nils the Border Collie) didn’t know what to expect when coming here. The build building is beautiful inside and out. I was pleasantly surprised at how all the staff took to Nils (who has become a favorite with the staff as well as the residents). I couldn’t be more surprised and pleased with my experience here

Oakmont of Fair Oaks has an amazing team that genuinely cares. The staff goes above and beyond, and there are always fun activities to keep everyone engaged and active. Such a welcoming and positive environment!
