Affinity is a beautiful place to live! Even though I am not a resident, my sister has lived there for 4 years and she loves it. There are so many activities and beautiful grounds to walk. The residents that I have met are super nice and seem very happy. I do love the security of the building knowing my sister is safe every day. The building is very well maintained and kept up. I would highly recommend Affinity to anyone.

I would recommend Affinity at Bellingham to anybody interested in independent living in a 55+ building. There is so much available outside one's own apartment--places to play games, do crafts, and hold meetings. There's a pub, a terrific pool, grills free to use for outdoor cooking, and plenty of outdoor seating. In the back of the building there are container gardens for residents who garden as a hobby. There's also a dog park where dogs can run around off-leash. Affinity has lots of things going on--not that anyone is made to join in anything that they'd rather not. Once a month there is a "town hall" meeting with lots of opportunities to volunteer in the community. One gets to know people without even trying because there are always people walking the grounds, or exercising their dogs, or working in the gardens. The office staff and maintenance staff are top-notch. The building and grounds are well kept and there are ongoing improvements being made. I especially like that there is an apartment available for visitors to rent. No worries if your apartment is too small to host friends and family--just reserve the guest suite and have your visitors stay there. The community has a lot of friendly people. I'm very happy I chose to live at Affinity.

At this time in my life I was beginning to realize that maintaining my home alone was becoming a burden a was only going to get worse. That was the time someone introduced me to Affinity. I scheduled a tour and was surprised by my reaction. From the first impression I thought how it looked like a lovely resort. Beautiful grounds, great location and upon entering the building my prejudices vanished! It was beautiful inside. On the tour I was very impressed by all the staff that I met and how friendly and helpful everyone was. My decision was made …I was going to have to live there, my new home is lovely, and my new friends are many and great. The staff is responsive to any requests, and I have not heard a negative remark yet. I know I made the right decision. So much fun and stimulating things to do here. It’s a great family environment.

If you are over 55 and you land at Affinity at Bellingham, you've hit the jackpot! Here are some of the amenities: indoor pool and spa, a pub with weekly happy hours, movie theatre, billiard's room, internet cafe with plenty of computers available, card room and game room. If you have a dog there is a dog park on the premises as well as a putting green. The grounds are well tailored with plenty of outdoor seating and even an outdoor grill. The grounds are impeccably maintained as are the individual apartments and the building itself. Maintenance staff is always available, competent and pleasant. The management is friendly and supportive and truly make every effort to make you stay warm and friendly.
