I love it here. I’ve lived at Wyndemere for just over half a year now. I have a beautiful two bed-2 bath apartment with a lovely view of what I call my own personal garden, which is a lovely courtyard with mature trees, a large water feature and lots of nice full bushes and shrubs. Everything is beautiful and so well maintained. I had the nicest, most helpful sales counselor, Sally Hatcher. She patiently (really patiently, thru about four showings!) showed me thru a number of different apartments. And Wyndemere has the neatest service, a move-in coordinator. Her name is Heidi Davidson and she will visit your current home to help you decide what to bring and even offer a suggested floor plan! I loved that! And it really did help me. The food is delicious. That is an extra bonus I hadn’t really been thinking about as I made my choice of where to live. Also, they have great maintenance men who are so so helpful. They hung all of my pictures for no additional fee. They even have a man, Jim, who repaired the broken spindle footboard on my antique bed. Super nice!! I’m a bit younger than most residents, 64. I’m so happy I made the decision to move when I did, when I was still “young” (ha-ha!) enough to manage the move fairly easily. But most residents move in their mid-seventies and they do quite nicely with all the assistance from Wyndemere. Finally, the Continuing Care concept is important to me, so I am not a burden to my family. My father lives here as well. He moved into the Assisted Living wing (Westbridge) about a year and a half ago. Recently, we moved him into the Memory Care unit, as his Alzheimer’s progressed. They care for him beautifully in Memory Care. It’s only a 12 resident unit, so they know the ins and outs of each resident super well. I am so happy to have him so well-cared for. And Assisted Living, where he had been originally, is great as well. Very nice apartments and great food. Dad was very content. They have a bunch of activities every day, led by Melissa and Barb, who are both fantastic. What nice ladies. A special thing for my Dad is that a Catholic deacon comes to Westbridge and Wyndemere every other Thursday to offer communion. This is so special and enriching for my Dad. Before moving my Dad in here, my sister and I visited what felt like every single Senior Care facility in the western suburbs. Far and away Wyndemere and Westbridge was the very nicest. I think you’ll be quite happy if you decide on Wyndemere for yourself or Westbridge for yourself or a loved one. I’ve included a few photos. The last three are of the maintenance men hanging my pictures, then of Phinnie, my cat, enjoying his beautiful, treed view and, finally, him lazing on the floor in his Wyndemere home. 🏡

Moving to Wyndemere was a choice I made with my family. After my wife passed, everything changed. I decided on Independent Living at Wyndemere because I lots of friends here who speak very highly of this place. As soon as I walked in the doors of Wyndemere I was greeted with warm welcomes throughout the community. I enjoy playing Billiards with my friends. I still come and go as I please and still go out to play golf. This is a great place for me!

I moved to Wyndemere 10 years ago after my husband passed. I could no longer take care of the house by myself. My son lived in Chicago and moved nto my home in Lombard. So Wyndemere was a perfect location for me. What I love most about Wyndemere is the daily activities. I enjoy participating in the choir and I love playing the Hand and Foot game with friends during the week.

Wyndemere is an exceptional place to live! I've had several friends live here - one for 25 years! After an extensive search, my dad chose to live here. I cannot say enough about the service, the cleanliness, the food, the beauty of the buildings and the grounds and the thoughtfulness of this community. The staff consistently goes above and beyond in helping the resident and their family - shout out to Judy and Eileen in marketing, every single front desk person, security, Kelly and especially Laura in activities, Mary and the health services staff, the dining personnel, maintenance, bus drivers, bookkeeping...I could go on and on. The activities for the residents are outstanding. We've had four parents in multiple facilities and I cannot say enough about Wyndemere, the staff and the residents. They should all be given huge raises! I continually recommend Wyndemere to friends and family. My dad has lived here over two years now and still loves it. He's very grateful to call Wyndemere home...mostly due to the cleanliness and the staff.
