After living in North Carolina for forty years and thinking I would eventually move to one of the very nice Life Care Communities near me. About a year ago I decided I would rather be near my family in Wheaton and southeast Wisconsin. My daughter has a friend whose parents were among the early residents (her father is still a resident) and had high praise for Wyndemere. Janet and I came for a visit and we both knew by the end of this visit that Wyndemere was where I wanted to live. And, I’ve enjoyed every day I have been here. All my expectations have been met!

My wife and I moved to Wyndemere about six months ago and are so glad we did! We chose Wyndemere after looking at several similar facilities in the Western Suburbs. Though the Wyndemere facilities are beautiful the deciding factor was how friendly everyone was! This includes both residents and staff. We continue to meet new people and deepen friendships we have made. There are so many activities available that you will find it easy to fill your days. We play a few games each week, my wife participates in art classes, and I recently started a chess club. There are so many amazing people here! We also go out to dinner with a group once a month (Dinner with Friends), an activity coordinated by Wyndemere staff. So, if you are considering a leveled care facility we highly recommend Wyndemere. We love it.

I have been a resident at Wyndemere for four years. I have been able to connect with friends very quickly. The reason why I chose Wyndemere is because of the home feeling I felt. It feels very welcoming. The staff here is amazing. From the front desk to housekeeping to dining services and even our bus drivers. All are so very kind and helpful. And always have a smile on their face.

A number of years ago, a fault health scare caused me to begin thinking about moving into a senior residence with continuous care. After visiting five senior residences We selected a townhouse at Wyndemere Senior living. We were impressed with the size and quality of the home and the view out the back windows. We moved in on December 30 and attended the residence annual New Year’s Eve party that very night since moving here I have served for three years on the Wyndemere gives committee. I Participate in the tai chi exercise class, the grief group and the Parkinson’s support group. When we are not eating at home, we walk over to one of the two dining room rooms in the main building at Wyndemere for lunch or dinner. We frequently join up with friends there. At other times, we go out to eat lunch at local restaurants nearby. The cost of food at Wyndemere is half of what we might spend at a local restaurant and is equal to or better than the food we get at local restaurants. Living here at Wyndemere during the Covid pan pandemic was far superior to living in the two separate condos that my partner and I lived in before moving to Wyndemere. Six years later it is home.
