Whitetail Springs

My mom has been in Whitetail Springs in Whitehall, Pa for a little over 2 months. It took awhile to feel at home but the Leadership and Staff have been exceptional. They recognize how much we rely on them for her care and they meet and exceed my expectations. Memory loss is tough for everyone in the family. Even though there are times when we get complaints from mom, we recognize that dementia can have this type of effect on her. I just listen then tell her that she’s safe and they are taking care of you. I know that the staff at Whitetail cares for her and will take care of her.

My father transferred to Whitetail after having been in two previous facilities that were awful experiences. It honestly seemed too good to be true; it was only a bit more money for a dramatically different experience. All involved are friendly, kind, outgoing, and patient. It's genuinely homey, attractive, cozy. Always clean and always smelled good. He had several little trips to the ER for minor things not of their misdoing and they always had him accounted for and on top of getting him a return to the home, which another facility DID NOT on two occasions (nor was I contacted about him being sent either time). I always arrived unannounced and would find him clean, dressed, up and about. They handled his hospice care with attention and kindness, to us both. They even gave me the model suite to use during the 3 days of his transition and I can say as somebody who lived there for 3 days, it was the same as by day. His outside hospice nurse told me it was her favorite place, "the best place in the city". I gathered as much but it was nice to have her confirm that. The activities coordinator would keep me in the loop with sent pics, which was so lovely as I was sadly out of state. No place is perfect but my concerns were attended to swiftly and overall I was utterly pleased with the experience and deeply grateful to know he was safe and genuinely cared for. Thank you all so much. It was a very difficult time in both of our lives and you all took wonderful care of us. Oh and the secure outside courtyard is top notch. My dad spent most of his time out there enjoying the fresh air, skies, and rocking chairs. He liked that he could come and go as he pleased.

My mother has been a resident at Whitetail Springs for 2 months now and I am very happy we found her such a wonderful new home. The facility is clean and homey, she has been well cared for and enjoys the company of the friendly staff and other residents. As hard as it was to realize I could no longer care for her at home, it is really nice to see her doing so well and to feel good about the choice for her care that we made.

We recently moved our mom into Whitetail Springs and are very happy with the welcome she received from all levels (executives, nursing, maintenance team, cleaning services)! The staff has been extremely accommodating to her and helpful with her transition to a new place. The communication and assurance we have received since moving her in has also been great and something we did not see at her previous home. It's great to see such personalized care being offered. Everyone has been very compassionate and understanding with her and we feel a sense of relief knowing she is finally in good hands. Tons of activities to keep her busy and engaged. Her room is very nice and the home is updated/clean! Also love all the common areas and outdoor space.
