Touchmark in the West Hills

Touchmark West Hills has been an exceptional place for my parents, and if I could rate it higher than five stars, I absolutely would. My mom lives in independent living at the Skylodge, and my dad resides in memory care at the Terrace Lodge in the Pembrook neighborhood. While the entire community has been wonderful, the support my father receives in memory care has meant the most to our family. Navigating dementia or Alzheimer’s with a loved one is heartbreaking, and deciding that someone needs full-time care is never easy. During a very difficult time for our family, Touchmark provided reassurance that my dad would be in compassionate and capable hands. The caregivers consistently treat him with dignity, patience, and genuine kindness. He is always clean, comfortable, and well cared for—and what means the most to us is that he appears calm and happy in his environment. The staff also do a great job communicating with our family and keeping us updated, and the leadership team has been responsive and supportive whenever we’ve had questions. I would highly recommend Touchmark West Hills to families looking for a caring, professional community for independent living, assisted living, or memory care. It has truly made a difference for our family.

Our mother lived at Touchmark in the West Hills for 6 years until her recent passing last December. She was surrounded by caring staff on all levels. She was in Memory Care for the last 2 years or so of her life. We want to commend the people who cared for her and made her days important. The activities provided, the attention daily for meals and care, and the friendliness to our family as we visited were comforting to all of us. I hope the staff knows how significant their work is to families and how critical their jobs are for those of us with loved ones living there.We cannot thank everyone enough.

We are delighted with our move to Touchmark a year ago. It is a warm, caring and friendly community - both the residents and staff. Our apartment is spacious with a lovely outlook over the beautifully landscaped and maintained grounds. The dining rooms are inviting; the food very good; the servers and kitchen take great care with my severely restricted diet. We are active in our pre-Touchmark lives and enjoying many new friends and activities here.

I wish there were a way to give 10 stars to Touchmark West Hills. Both of my parents live here—my mother in independent living at Skylodge, and my father in memory care in the Terrace Lodge (Pembrook Neighborhood). I can’t say enough good things about the entire community, but I especially want to highlight the care my father receives in memory care. Having a parent with dementia or Alzheimer’s is incredibly difficult. You watch someone you love slowly lose pieces of themselves over time, and when my father’s health declined, we had to make the very hard decision to move him into full-time care. Touchmark has been an incredible support to our whole family. The staff treat my father with respect, compassion, and kindness. He is always clean, well-dressed, and comfortable—and most importantly, he seems genuinely content. The caregivers communicate clearly and keep us informed about changes, and the leadership team is responsive, helpful, and truly collaborative. I would wholeheartedly recommend Touchmark West Hills to anyone considering independent living, assisted living, or memory care.
