These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.

We placed my 97 yr old Mom at The Preserve in early December 2025, and have been pleased with the compassion, competence, and quality care that she has relived at the facility. The entire staff and administrators are respectful, friendly, and responsive to any reasonable request. I’m certain that The Preserve is the best possible ALF for my Mom at this stage of her life.

Most important to me was how friendly and personable everyone was: administration, service staff, how exceptional all the meals were and the men and women who served them. The residents were friendly and sociable. I was thrilled to be able their grand piano and amazed at how much it was appreciated by so many who took the trouble to say so. I needed a week of respite care and The Preserve was the perfect place for me.

I am extremely concerned about the quality of care provided at The Preserve Dunedin. Despite the promises made during the intake process and the care package we agreed upon, the facility has consistently failed to uphold basic standards—most alarmingly in the area of medication management and regular wellness checks. There have been multiple instances where medications were missed, medications marked as given when in fact were not with zero oversight. These are not minor oversights—they put residents' health and safety at serious risk. In addition to this, the routine wellness checks that were explicitly part of our care agreement are either rushed, irregular, or completely skipped. When concerns were raised with the staff and administration, responses were vague and accountability was lacking. This is unacceptable for a facility entrusted with the care of vulnerable individuals. Families place their trust in these care providers, often making difficult and emotional decisions to do so. When that trust is broken, it not only jeopardizes the wellbeing of residents but also erodes any confidence that the facility is acting in good faith. I urge the management of The Preserve Dunedin to take immediate corrective action and for families considering this facility to proceed with caution and ask detailed, specific questions about their medication protocols and how they ensure adherence to individual care plans. Hopefully this review will help families to avoid the heartaches, frustrations and fear of placing their loved one here. After two years we had to move our loved one out, emergently for safety and well-being. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The Preserve at Dunedin is not only beautiful and well-kept, but it truly feels like home from the moment you walk in. The entire team is attentive, present, and genuinely focused on the people who live there. While there are so many wonderful staff members, I want to especially recognize Angie Laboy and Jackie Sahhar for their patience, kindness, and the way they take the time to really listen and follow through on the needs of each resident. Their care makes all the difference.
