The Oaks at Jamestown

I can’t say enough good things about this assisted living community. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, consistently going above and beyond to ensure our mom feels safe, secure, and valued. Their friendliness and helpfulness made the transition so much easier for our entire family. The community truly feels like home, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that puts everyone at ease. The residents enjoy a variety of engaging social activities, monthly calendar of events including outings are thoughtfully organized by the staff to foster connection and a sense of belonging. We have seen an amazing transformation with our mom since her move 3 months ago, she is thriving feeling more independent and getting involved. The award winning Culinary Staff and food service is top-notch, offering a diverse selection of healthy and delicious meals every day. All you can eat Sunday brunch offered to residents and their families, themed happy hour Fridays with entertainment are just a couple examples of the amazing opportunities for involvement. The on site health center, dining rooms, activity areas and residents suites are always clean and well-maintained, providing residents with plenty of ways to stay active and mentally engaged. The facility itself is impeccably clean and well-kept, with strong security measures that give us peace of mind knowing our mom is in a safe environment. We couldn’t be more grateful for their compassion and attention provided here.

My mom moved into The Oaks at Jamestown in early April and she has had nothing but smiles and good things to say about her new home. There is a welcome feeling immediately when you enter the building, with people greeting you and residents busy with various activities. The facility has many cozy areas for residents to enjoy the campus as well as wonderful areas outside around the campus. My mom is encouraged by staff to participate in what she is comfortable with and has even done activities that she's previously never tried prior to moving here. The activities offered each week provide residents with a variety of things to do from crafts, knitting, walking clubs, gardening, documentaries, Bingo, monthly family brunches and even a weekly happy hour. Happy hour is full of employees who are living up to the weekly theme all the way from their clothing to the desserts and entertainment. The daily menu offerings are always very pleasant with cafe items being offered when the featured meal is not appealing. Residents have so many options to choose from and certainly don't leave the table hungry. I've been so grateful for the loving care she has received. It makes me so at peace when I'm not with her, knowing that she is cared for and looked after. What a blessing The Oaks at Jamestown has been! Much appreciation to the entire staff for their daily commitment to making residents happy and feeling at home!

My mother in law has been at The Oaks of Jamestown since November of 2024. The staff is always friendly with smiles and always go above and beyond to help her. The facility is very clean. Activities are great for the residents as well as the trips they take. Very impressed with the food options and the monthly brunch they offer. Would highly recommend The Oaks of Jamestown to anyone!!

The Oaks at Jamestown is hands down the best facility for families in the Grand Rapids area. From the moment I walked in, I could tell these residents are in the most caring and capable hands. The staff is incredibly compassionate, attentive, and goes above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming environment. Their personalized care plans truly make a difference in the lives of residents, and the family atmosphere they foster makes it feel like home. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and filled with constant activities that keep the residents engaged and happy. I am so grateful for the amazing care they provide as i work with all facilities around Michigan, and I truly believe The Oaks at Jamestown is #1 in all of Grand Rapids for senior care.
