The Montecito is beautiful community and one that I enjoy showing my clients. Carol Black is the Community Relations Director, she is knowledgeable and compassionate with my clients putting them at ease. This community also has gorgeous Casitas, which can be a desirable option for someone coming from a home.

We deliver to The Montecito regularly. Check-in is straightforward—reception answers quickly, confirms resident details, and signs for arrangements when a handoff isn’t possible. Visitor parking sits close to the main entrance, which keeps walks short even with larger pieces. Elevators are fast and clearly marked. Late mornings and early afternoons are the smoothest; during school let-out and game nights near P83, traffic on 83rd Ave can slow the last mile, so we plan a small buffer. Overall, organized front desk, clear directions, and reliable access make on-time deliveries the norm here.

The Montecito is a great facility. The waterfall out front is very beautiful, the facility was clean, the lobby is an open and inviting area. Nick, the receptionist, was very helpful and polite. Many of the staff were very friendly. I have been scouting the area for a suitable home for my elderly mother, and this seems to be a wonderful fit. The review would be higher, however one of the waitresses, Beverly, was very dismissive and had an unpleasant attitude. I watched her roll her eyes, visibly mutter under her breath, and become seemingly irritated when residents would sit in the area she was attending, often ignoring certain tables while chatting with others. I had to ask one of the other waiters for assistance as my food arrived cold, which they promptly heated for me without attitude or hesitation. Dining services should be a pleasant experience, as many residents use this time to socialize not to be made to feel like they are a burden for simply wanting their meal or some attendance. It was concerning and I would not like my mother to feel or be treated any less by a waitress with a sour attitude. The other dining staff were very amicable and social, including the breakfast chef.

In coming back and forth to the property at The Montecito is beautiful as you approach the entrance with a large waterfall at the entrance. And when you walk in, the décor is very well done and amazingly inviting. More importantly I have found consistently the greeting from the front reception area. And the interaction with the staff across campus is always polite and professional. The dining, beyond the daily entrée, has an anytime menu that provides a tenderloin steak anytime, as well as, other high end fares. Not many senior living properties offer menu options to the degree they do and the ability to come down anytime vs. set meal times. The property is well kept up as you venture from the main building across the campus with Casita's and Villa's. Just down to earth feeling as you visit and engage with the community.
