The Inn at Bear Trail

In September 2025, I had to find a senior care facility to meet my father's complex medical needs to keep him out of the ER! Beginning with the initial interview and tour with the Community Director, Michael Harvey, I knew this would be the place for dad! Michael's warmth and compassion let me know that my dad would be loved and cared for and that his medical needs would be met. I later met the Executive Director, Chris Runion, who was so kind and personable. He went above and beyond to greet me as I entered the facility to check-in with me when I would stop by to visit each week. The director of nursing, Jodie, and activites coordinator, Brooke, and all the staff including nurses and aides, made sure that my father was safe to keep him out of the ER, and engaged in stimulating activities and events! As my father is a retired pastor, I was especially pleased by the weekly chapel service on the premises with Pastor Chris, who became my father's pastor while residing at Bear Trail. If you are looking for a facility for your loved one, I would highly recommend The Inn at Bear Trail as they display such excellence in care and treat each resident as "family!" Moving my dad into assisted living was a difficult decision, but this facility has given our family tremendous peace of mind. The staff is exceptionally kind, compassionate, and genuinely cares about their residents. They take the time to listen, treat everyone with respect, and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The price is very reasonable and fair for what is provided. Mike has been especially wonderful throughout the process. He is incredibly responsive, helpful, and always willing to answer questions or address concerns. His communication and support have made a huge difference for our family. One thing that also stands out is how quickly the team responds when a resident calls for help. Their responsiveness and attentiveness have exceeded my expectations and have been incredibly reassuring. Like any community, there are occasional minor hiccups, and every so often a request my dad makes may be forgotten by a caregiver. However, when concerns are brought to the staff’s attention, they are addressed promptly and with genuine care. Overall, we have had a very positive experience and are grateful to have found a place where my dad is safe, cared for, and treated with kindness. I feel very relieved knowing he is here, and I would recommend this community to other families looking for compassionate assisted living centers.

We couldn't be happier with the care and compassion shown at the Inn at Bear Trail. From scheduling our tour with Mike ( the director ), to staff assistance with move in, to the communication between ourselves and the staff. We have truly been treated like family. The community is clean, welcoming and thoughtfully designed making our mother feel safe & comfortable. There are lots of engaging activities as well as well prepped meals daily. Mike goes above and beyond to communicate with us how our loved one is transitioning which always provides great peace of mind. We’ve had a wonderful experience at the Inn at Bear Trail. My dad moved there almost a year ago, and it has been such a huge relief knowing he has someone watching over him around the clock. The team does an excellent job keeping me updated on any changes in his health, which gives our entire family great peace of mind. The staff is incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly—Mike, in particular, stands out for his responsiveness. Any time I have a question, he replies almost immediately, and I never feel like I’m waiting around for answers. The residents are just as welcoming, which creates a warm and comfortable community atmosphere. There’s always something going on, with thoughtfully planned events and a wide variety of daily activities that keep life engaging and fun. The accommodations are lovely, and the pricing is very reasonable for the level of care and attention provided. What truly sets this place apart is the balance it offers—residents have the freedom to live life on their own terms while also having the reassurance that they are well cared for. Most importantly, it has taken a tremendous amount of worry off our family’s shoulders. Knowing my dad is in a beautiful place, surrounded by kind people and receiving great care, allows us all to feel at ease. It’s truly a place where residents can enjoy life to the fullest.
