The Avalon of Lewis Center

I moved my Mom to The Avalon of Lewis Center in June after a terrible experience at another facility. The Avalon has so many wonderful activities and programs for my Mom. The staff is wonderful and very caring.. I know that my Mom is being cared for by all the staff. Her room is beautiful and always clean. The food is very good and the staff is happy to accommodate the residents. I always feel welcome when I visit my Mom and I can participate in the activities if I want to. The Avalon of Lewis Center is a wonderful place for family members who need assistance as they grow older. I encourage you to talk to someone at The Avalon of Lewis Center!

The Avalon has a full staff in Memory Care. We love that there are activities every day and most of the day! The place is clean, rooms are big and they pride themselves on making things right!! We experienced warm greetings from the staff here! From the visit, to the paperwork, meeting the staff and the excellent food choices. The Avalon is truly great!! To see Mom Barb interact with others, the staff actually keeping her clean throughout the day/brushing her teeth, checking on her, communicate with us and smiling, does our hearts good!! The family knows we made the right choice when we moved her from a place that was less caring.

Five years ago, we moved my husband‘s mother, (my mother-in-law) Into The Avalon of Lewis Center. It was one of the best moves we could have made for her. Not only was the staff amazing, attentive and friendly, but they made her feel so at home in her new surroundings and took such great care of her. She was there for five years and we never had anything but good things to say. The staff is better than any facility I have been to and or visited. We had such a great experience that when the time came, we also moved my mother to Avalon. She is so happy there and loves her apartment and the fact that she can bring her own belongings. The food is great, it is immaculately clean, and there are so many activities and experiences for the residents to enjoy. I wouldn’t hesitate to send anyone to Avalon.

Two years ago, my 87-year-old brother-in-law moved from Chicago to live with my husband (his brother) and me in Ohio. As I began cancer treatment, we realized we needed additional support to ensure he had the care and community he deserved. That’s when we found Avalon of Lewis Center—and we are truly grateful. Avalon has provided a sense of family, comfort, and connection that has helped our loved one thrive in this later season of life. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully maintained. The staff is friendly, compassionate, and consistently responsive to the needs of their residents. Avalon didn’t just give us peace of mind—they gave our brother a community where he feels seen, safe, and supported. We are incredibly thankful for the care and dignity they provide every day.
