This is an easy review for me to write, and I strongly advise anyone seeking a facility to care for their aging parent to pay close attention to what I have to say. When my Mother's health began to rapidly decline and we were dealing with multiple falls and hospital visits, we needed to place her in a senior rehabilitation facility. I was astounded when I started researching these facilities and discovered the numerous horror stories circulating about senior care centers in this area. Seeking advice from our local Facebook group, members advised against several of these facilities due to their poor experiences when placing their parents there. After being discharged from the hospital, I was strongly advised to place my mother at The Atrium at Navesink, one of the top recommended rehab facilities. Consequently, for the past few months, my mother has been residing on the second floor of the Atrium, which serves as the rehab center. My family and I have been thoroughly impressed and grateful for the level of care she has received. Whenever I visit her, I feel a sense of happiness and contentment. Everyone there is friendly, open to conversation, and incredibly attentive to my mother’s needs. In the mornings, Mom undergoes her rehabilitation. The afternoons are filled with various activities, such as Bingo, painting, games, cards, and even concerts. The presence of other seniors around her provides her with opportunities to socialize and combat feelings of loneliness. As a frequent visitor, I’ve formed a strong bond with the staff, particularly Kimberly and the rest of the wonderful ladies at the front desk. Their outgoing, friendly, and attentive nature has made my visits truly enjoyable. I extend my heartfelt appreciation for their warm and caring attitudes. Then there are individuals like Hollye, Vanessa and Michael, among others, who take the time to meet with me in rehab. They keep me informed about my mother’s progress and focus on helping her develop the skills she needs to regain her independence and return home. However, the most crucial person I’ve interacted with is Jennifer, the Director of Social Services and Admissions. She’s been our lifeline throughout Mom’s entire stay. Whenever I need to get things done, whether it’s an email or a phone call, Jennifer is always on top of things and doesn’t miss a beat. As someone who’s completely clueless about dealing with insurance claims, obtaining medical supplies, or getting medical information, Jennifer has made all of that incredibly simple for me. Her office door is always open, and she’s always ready to answer any questions I may have when I drop by. I am incredibly grateful to her for the numerous times I’ve had to interrupt her day with questions or tasks. The nurses and staff at this facility are truly exceptional. Every time I step onto the floor, they greet me with a warm smile, making me feel welcome. The personalized care they provide to the seniors under their care is truly remarkable. It’s as if they are treating their own family members. A special shout-out to Rashan, the busiest and friendliest guy working that floor. Always loved interacting with him. The Atrium also serves as a permanent living community for seniors. I encountered one on the elevator descending to the main floor the other day. I inquired about her experience here. She expressed her satisfaction, stating that she has been residing here for several years, and this community has been a lifeline for her. Hearing something like that from a resident provides great belief that a lot of good care is happening here. I’m eagerly anticipating bringing my mother home soon, but I’ll miss everyone on the rehab floor. They’ve been nothing short of exceptional, and I have a strong feeling you’ll share my sentiments if you ever find yourself placing a family member in their care.

Our mom had a wonderful experience at the Atrium. After visiting other senior living offerings in Monmouth County, we decided on the Atrium based on its beautiful location directly in the Navesink River, cleanliness, activities, top-notch staff, food quality, and apartment style. We also loved the proximity to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in Red Bank. It was as if our mom was on a cruise ship with all of the fun activities and water-front dining. She loved the fact that she had her own lovely kitchen to prepare meals on her own and entertain friends, or the option to dine in the snack bar on the main floor, as well as complete lunch & dinner service in the spectacular dining room with water views. She spent many warm summer days out in the garden and even enjoyed going out on the Atrium’s pontoon boat with her friends. The level of care was excellent. Having a clinic in-house is super convenient, and having dermatologist and other specialists stop in made appointments easier. She also had her hair and nails done in-house in the salon, which made her very happy. We found the building staff to be very friendly - everyone from the valet parking to the front desk to the maintenance people. Any questions we had were promptly answered. The Atrium treated our mom and us as family. We loved the fact that when our mom became very sick she was able to stay in the building on the hospital floor to recover. The nurses and the aides on the floor were just the best and gave her loving care. There were even activities provided on this floor, and we so enjoyed the day the mariachi band came to play! The Atrium was the best place for our mom and we would highly recommend it.

Had the pleasure of visiting The Atrium for its Seafood Buffet open house in June. Beautiful facilities. Sat with two of the residents who were fantastic and answered all of our questions. Also had a great conversation with Amber Graves, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing. Will definitely be returning to view the apartment offerings.

My wife and I have lived for close to five years at The -Atrium at Navesink Harbor. Mary is currently on the health care ward and I in independent living. The kindness, warmth, support, and cheerfulness of all the staff is exceptional for which we are most grateful. An example we treasure is the memory of our 60th Anniversary. As I was confined in the local hospital, my wife in her wheelchair arrived at my bedside wearing her red carnation lei assisted by an aide. The surprise event had been engineered by the director of nursing Mary Rodriguez and the executive director ,Michel Gentile. The entire staff from nursing, dining room, maintenance, housekeeping, activities, transportation, valet service to the ever welcoming concierges create a friendly and caring community. With the plethora and variety of in-house activities, proximity to Red Bank’s vibrant theaters, we have found a special home .
