Terra Bella- Spartanburg from the outside looks amazing! Operationally, I would pass on placing my loved one in this facility. Why? From our family's perspective, Sherry, the administrator, is initially warm and professional, enthusiastic about answering all sorts of questions during the admission phase. However, signing the lease, she had items marked and lied on certain portions of the agreement; please read for yourself. Simon is also grand and was pleasant for the entire three months my family was placed in the facility. Fast-forwarding, within the first month, medication was ordered for my loved one that was not needed, based on his medication being fully stocked by a third-party provider. Tabatha, LPN, and I spoke, and she immediately resolved the issue, and the charges were diverted that time. My loved one left the facility and attended a restoration rehab for a broken bone, rent/ and cost of care still remain in place. Granted, Sherry (if she was being factual) discounted the month my loved one was away. Once my loved one returned, he was assessed at the rehab with the expectation that his cost of care may increase. I spoke for over one hour in person with Sherry and Tabatha, with the expectation that I would be present when the assessment was conducted to determine the future level-of-care fee. Three days later, the level of care increased, and I was not present. Not to mention, medication was still being ordered from the pharmacy, medication changes were not communicated to med techs, and my loved one's level of care physically never changed, outside of him regaining his strength from the broken bone. Kenya, his primary aide, was amazing at assisting my loved one during his stay. From that moment, the level of trust eroded as I began emailing my concerns to Sherry and Tabatha, since neither of the ladies could recall what we had discussed. Questions went unanswered, and the living space my loved one occupied began to deteriorate. Once my loved one moved out of the facility on the 1st of the month and had a zero balance, a final email was sent terminating the lease due to unresolved recurring issues. During my loved one’s move out, no staff member said anything. Ironically enough, Sherry promoted Miranda, who began to speak on her behalf, without addressing the core of the recurring issues; instead, she stated that my loved one had a bill higher than what he was paying for rent. So if you do not care about your loved one, unexpected charges, lack of communication, and unprofessionalism, this is the place for your loved one.

Cannot imagine a better place for someone when extra care is necessary that the family just cant manage on their own. The entire staff are very sweet. The place is small and clean. Lots of activies to keep the residents busy. Next best thing to home.

I enjoyed a tour of this assisted living quite some time ago. It was just such a perfect size. Not too big or small. Clean and bright. Residents were on front porch rockers enjoying sunshine. When I came in the lobby, there were other residents visiting in the large living room. Staff was helpful to me and everyone seemed happy and I couldn’t help but smile.

I can’t say enough good things about TerraBella Spartanburg!!! The way they care for my mother is something you won’t find at any other community. The staff knows everyone by name and you can tell that they care deeply for the people who live there. When I visit, it doesn’t feel like I’m stepping into some heartless facility, it feels like I’m stepping into a home. Thank you TerraBella for all you do to make my mother happy and comfortable!!
