A place that truly changed my mother’s quality of life If you’re searching for care for an aging parent, I want to share our experience, because it made all the difference for my mom in her final years. Before Tennyson Court, my mother was at another facility in Williamsville, where she had become increasingly confused and unsteady; falling often, and in one fall, losing her front teeth. I spent months asking staff there to review her medications with me, certain something in those meds was contributing to it. I was repeatedly told she was “no more loopy than anyone else” and they would not do a medication review. On my mother’s very first day at Tennyson Court, the nurse practitioner called me. She had already begun reviewing my mom’s medications without being asked and found one, in particular, that is known to cause falls in seniors. She was visibly concerned by it and asked permission to take my mother off it immediately. She then went through the rest of the medications and made several more adjustments. The difference was remarkable. My mother became clearer, steadier, and more herself. If you are struggling to find a facility that really cares and is invested in your loved ones care, I cannot recommend Tennyson Court enough. Beyond the medical care, the staff at Tennyson showed my mother genuine warmth. One caretaker was visibly moved when he learned she had passed. Another told me she had danced with my mom in the hallway the night before she died. These are the kinds of small, human moments that tell you someone is truly being cared for, not just looked after. My mother passed peacefully, and I know without question that her final years were better… fuller, safer, and gentler… because of the team at Tennyson Court. Tennyson Court was an absolute blessing to my family! We will be forever grateful for the care our uncle received and the attentive caring staff that was there for him during his time of need. We held a small private birthday party for one of your residents. The party room was just the right size, everyone was so accommodating and the setting was perfect. All of us so enjoy the Tennyson Court experience.

Our mom is a resident in memory care at Tennyson Court. She is so well taken care of. The staff really care about the residents. The activities are enjoyable and stimulate my mom’s mind. It’s a great community. We are thankful Tennyson had availability when my mom needed the 24/7 care.
