Mom has been in the Retreat for 4 months now. She is still acclimating to the new environment, often wanting to to to her own home. The staff is wonderful and do the best they can to tend to all the residents. Although she forgets most daily events, I see there are some exceptional staff that take the time to talk, smile and gently touch her, and I'm sure this comforts her during her moments of being lost and confused. I too have a cam in the room and catch many moments of caring interaction from staff. Cameras aren't to burden the staff, ... they help to support staff, as they can't be everywhere at once. The cams are to give staff a "heads up" in case anything goes sideways. So far I'm so thankfull for the Retreat and the caregivers. Bless you all. Update:: I can honestly say my mother had peace, comfort and a lot of loving kindness in her last month at the Retreats memory care. The staff was so kind and loving that it allowed Mom to have a measure of routine and calm towards the end. You guys, please keep doing what you do. It matters so much. God bless you all Real Good moving on, and may this be a Happy New Year for you all. Sincerely, Linda Foor.

I requested a visit to investigate future plans for my care. I was welcomed warmly, offered coffee and a cookie. I showed up early and was still seen , given a tour and all my questions were answered. Valencia was very thorough in her tour and gave clear answers to my questions. She invited me to stop by sometime, with a prior phone call, to join them for lunch to check out the food and visit with some residents. I was very inpressed and will soon put my name on the waiting list. Thank you, Valencia.

As my mother was approaching the time when she would require assistance in order to live on her own, our family was starting to panic. We had heard the horror stories and how hard it would be to find a facility where she would be well attended to, and one we would feel confident about as well. It's been six months since we were fortunate enough to get her into The Retreat at Sunny Vista, and so far it's been the best decision ever! The staff is amazing, friendly, and very accommodating to all of the residents. The facility is impeccably clean, and has a vast array of constant activities for the residents, as well as visiting family members. I sleep better at night knowing she's well attended to, and getting all of the assistance she needs, be it routine or urgent!

My wife had been a victim of Parkinson's for almost 15 years. When it became difficult for me to care for her at home, I began investigating assisted living facilities. The Retreat at Sunny Vista met my criteria. All I can say about the experience is that they exceeded my expectations. The staff cared for my wife as if she were family. Of a problem came up, the resolved within a day. The food was better than expected. The facility is always clean and comfortable.
