In June 2023 I was at the Aldi right next to this facility where an elderly woman who lived here was very confused and asked me for help. This facility gave this woman a card with a number for their shuttle on it, however that number was no longer in service. On top of that she had been unaware that her phone service had been turned off because her bill hadn’t been paid. This poor woman was alone in Aldi and was not able to think to ask the employees for help and did not realize that her home was right next door. So I did what anyone would do and drove her home. I wanted to let the manager know about her cognitive state and that the number to the shuttle wasn’t working, and that her phone was out of service. My only goal was to make sure that she was safe and well supported, and hopefully have the facility contact her family. Instead of wanting to listen and help her, the manager chose to raise his voice at me instead and told me to leave. I can only assume that he was embarrassed that this had happened and chose to take it out on a young girl. I emailed corporate but never received a response. I know that this is independent living so it’s different than assisted living where I have worked, but I do hope that the residents here are alright. From another review it looks like this manager is no longer here, so that’s good at least.

Mom is so happy with this place! The staff is friendly, helpful and always running around to help each other. Mom loves the daily exercise classes and other activities. They have three fresh meals a day in the dining room, weekly maid service and transportation available to appointments. The building and grounds are cheerful, clean and well maintained. We were pleasantly shocked at how affordable it is for a one bedroom, which is plenty of space for one person. I honestly can’t say enough about it.

I think management took a dislike to my mom right off, they said her place was not clean. She is 84, has two dogs, and is incontinent. I did my best to fix things with management each time they told me, like having the carpets cleaned And hiring a separate laundry service, But it was never enough. After months of what my mom felt were insults she finally went down and told off management. While she shouldn’t have done this they used it as a way to get her out which I suspect they wanted all along. I know have to spend thousands of dollars to move her after only eight months at this facility, and after I just had the carpets cleaned. So sad and disappointing. She liked it there and wanted to stay. It was a no win situation.
