Solista Bellevue has been an amazing experience for my loved one. The staff truly keeps an eye out for them as if they were family. Chef Paul goes out of his way to accommodate special needs and preferences, and Spencer keeps everyone engaged and active with great programming and support from the onsite PT/OT team. Gena has also been wonderful—she’s currently working on bringing in a care company, CorsoCare, in early December so residents can age in place gracefully. Max, the maintenance lead, is always on top of everything and incredibly responsive. There are also two new managers I haven’t met yet, but I’ve already heard great things about them. I’m genuinely happy and relieved to have my loved one here.

Don't fool yourself that this is anything other than a business. The current management wants to fill the large percentage of empty rooms. The bottom line is what counts here. Of course, the company needs to flourish, however, the current management and higher management prioritize dollars over caring and compassion for the residents. Many listed activities never happen. There is a lot of staff turnover here. Recently, there have been two new managers. A beloved long-term staff member was fired this week. She would do anything and has done everything for the residents. Many residents have expressed outrage that this person was let go. The kitchen, housekeeping, and wait staff are hard-working, caring folks. Budgetary needs rule here, so the carpets need cleaning, and the lighting is so low that it's hard to read a menu. The building is at the corner of two very busy, noisy roads with lots of fire, ambulance, and police sirens, as well as weekly car racing.

We had a wonderful manager, Tracie who was very kind helpful and always had time to help us when we needed it. This building was very enjoyable before we got a new director. The employees don't have freedom outside of what she wants. This building and staff seem to be tense since she has arrived. I don't understand what's happening in my home anymore.

Dinner time and only ONE server taking and delivering orders. Realizing my food would not come until after 5:30 I walked to office to talk to Director. I sat down on my walker to wait for her attention. I said “ I really don’t like going to bed on a full stomach. Director stood up so she was towering over me and growled “I’ve set new rules for diningroom. Her posture and haughty voice made me cringe. She was so very disrespectful that I felt humiliated. I got up from walker and started towards office door and in a commanding voice said, “Judy, im NOT finished” This was not the first time she has been disrespectful towards me. We live here assuming to be treated respectfully. I do not expect words thrown at me but rather spoken in normal tones and I guess at 91 I deserve it.
