Aegis Living Bellevue

I cannot say enough good things about this Aegis location. Both may parents live here and the care, quality of life and kindness by staff is absolutely remarkable. My siblings and I are constantly saying that Mom and Dad are in the right place! We recently had a health crisis for my Dad and the communication and compassion that the Aegis staff provided my family was amazing. The nurse even called me at the ER on her day off to check on my Dad and our family. They have a daily calendar of activities plus bonus events to keep it from ever being boring. They have sit down meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. The family events they put on for Holidays are so fancy and festive. They even bring in little music groups and speakers for fun bonus afternoons. We did our research and toured multiple places. We fell in love with this Bellevue Aegis due to its walkable location and it wasn’t too big and it felt like a family.

I feel very comfortable knowing that my mom is being loved, provided activities and is safe. She is kept very clean and her medical needs are carefully addressed.

A few words I would use to describe the care given at Aegis: grace, compassion, patience, welcoming, and honest. My family member has been a resident of this Aegis now for about 1.5 years and we are absolutely so thankful for all they do. We have had nothing but positive experiences and my loved one is absolutely thriving. Although she continues to decline cognitively, her mental and physical health have drastically improved since she moved and to me, that is priceless. We have been shown nothing but kindness and compassion and I feel like I have my loved one back and I get to focus on our relationship again and enjoy life together. Although our dynamic is ever evolving from her being my caretaker to me being hers, we are able to transition with much more grace and peace than if we were doing this on our own. Thank you Aegis!

Mom has been thriving at Bellevue Aegis for nearly four years now. She has always been a very social person and needs human interaction to maintain her emotional balance of hope and passion for life. Mom has flourished with the organized social activities and an amazing group of loving staff that truly cares about the residents. She enjoys her interactions with residents and has made some good friends. We also enjoy friendships with staff and residents which make our visits that much more enjoyable. While there is quite a bit of staff turnover, we are always amazed at how they find new people with the same values; it seems to be more than just a job. The new resident induction process was such a relief. They have specialized staff that stayed with mom, well into the night, provided hugs and reassurances during the tearful transition with special attention during the days that followed. Covid was a scary time as the disease tore through our elder care communities across the nation. Aegis adhered to the CDC guidelines with strong results. The isolation protocols were heart-breaking, but necessary to keep our loved ones safe. We feel Mom is in a safe environment, part of an active community, and benefitting from the fellowship. It’s the best outcome we could have hoped for.
