Having to place a loved one in memory care is one of the hardest things anyone can face. I’ve had to make that heartbreaking decision twice—first for my husband, who had FTD/ALS, and later for my momma, who lived with complex vascular dementia. Silverado exceeded every expectation. Their staff is truly extraordinary. They are not only highly trained in the complexities of dementia and neurological conditions, but they approach every interaction with patience, dignity, and genuine compassion. They take time to understand each resident as a whole person—who they were, what comforts them, and what brings them moments of joy. Whether it's medical care, emotional support, or simply offering a warm smile, the team consistently goes above and beyond. They also support families in a way that feels rare. They listen, guide, reassure, and help you navigate moments that can feel overwhelming. I always felt informed, included, and supported—never alone in the process. There isn’t another place in the world I would trust more with my loved ones. The staff at Silverado is absolutely amazing, and their dedication makes all the difference!!

I am a retired nurse currently working as a private nurse, healthcare manager, and caregiver for several clients in the Bellevue area. I was employed for 18+ years in Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. I have known about Silverado for a long time and was excited when they decided to build a community in Bellevue. In April of 2025, one of my clients asked me for recommendations for Memory Care for their beloved Mother and Wife. I enthusiastically recommended Silverado. After doing their due diligence and visiting other places, they too realized that there is no comparison and we moved her to Silverado! I currently spend 2 or 3 days every week visiting with her and other residents and can honestly say, it is a delight! The kindness, caring, and compassion of all the staff is evident. Caregivers, housekeepers, maintenance, kitchen and activities all are engaging, and happy to go the extra mile. Nursing staff provide thoughtful and dedicated care to all the residents and the Physical Therapists appear to work miracles! I have witnessed residents in wheelchairs and within a week or two, are walking independently. Kristena, the manager, is amazing and a leader in the field. Always available to answer questions, help with concerns, and talk. If you are looking for the perfect fit for your loved one, a place that provides care, companionship, laughter, and joy, as well as really tasty food, I am confident, without reservation you will find it at Silverado! Sincerely, Shari Cassara

my families experience moving our 92 years young mom to Silverado Memory Care Community Bellevue November 2025 after months of thinking and talking over and struggling with the idea of transitioning our mom to a different setting, where the level of care would fit her needs better we came across Silverado. Silverado was the first stop on what we thought would be a few months of looking and searching and more thinking on what would be right for mom. The moment we walked in Silverado felt like home. Comfortable and welcoming. We met with Kristina the director and went over what they had to offer our mom and family. We were blown away by the all inclusive list of care and services. They have thought of everything that an individual with memory concerns could possibly need and their families. There was an instant feeling of relief and gratitude for what our mom and my brother and I would experience if she moved to Silverado. Then we took a tour of the community and it was becoming even more clear in our minds that this was the place. All sorts of things were going on. People were out and about, care staff were greeting us, kitchen staff saying hello, an engagement activity was being led to a group. The surroundings were open and lots of natural light. The rooms were comfortable and just right in size and space. Chloe the cat greeted us which brings me to one of my favorite parts of Silverado, pet therapy. Our mom is an animal lover and our dogs have always been a big part of her life. Our dog Rafa as other dogs are more than welcome to visit and are encouraged to come. We met the rabbits and the birds and heard about the miniature horses that visit once a month. Residents with small dogs are able to live with their family member. Another important part of Silverado which is hard to think about but crucial is end of life care. Mom will most likely never need to move out of Silverado as they have created their community to accommodate an individuals needs as they progress with increased care and hospice. They have 24/7 nurse onsite and a doctor that visits weekly and is on call. They have Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy on site. As we were finishing our tour and thanking Kristina for our visit in the front room and literally saying goodbye we hesitated and could not actually leave without stepping back in and taking that leap of faith and went ahead and made the decision right there and then to start the move in process. It has been the best decision and most amazing life change for our mom and my brother and I. The transition process is going well it will be 2 months next week that our mom has been living in the community. She has experienced so many great opportunities. The Physical Therapists and the Occupational Therapists are fantastic and her strength and confidence has been increasing weekly and along with that her independence within the community. The Nexus Program focus on brain health is fantastic and the engagement staff that runs the activities are super at getting all involved. My brother and I are having so many moments of amazement and joy at what goes on daily for our mom. The Chef delivers heathy nutritional food and as a family member I have delighted in joining my Mom and the other residents for many tasty wonderful meals. Our mom is living her best life at Silverado and we are very pleased and deeply grateful to all the people that come and care for her. I will add that as the daughter of a memory care individual I have been greatly supported in this next step for our mom. All my concerns and questions are kindly and lovingly responded to. My brother and I are able to rest easier knowing our mom is receiving the best care possible for this part of her life journey. Thank you Silverado Memory Care Community and The founders for committing to quality of life for people living with memory impairment.
