Shavano Park Senior Living

I just can't say enough good things about the care my Dad received at Shavano Park Senior Living. From the beginning, Heather and LaShawn made us feel comfortable placing our loved one in their care. Melanie, the nurse, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Christine, the head of Memory Care, was so compassionate. She knew all about each resident and all of their needs. She always made time for the residents as well as their family members. Gracie, a med tech, was instrumental in the communication process that kept me involved in all the activities and care of my Dad. When I saw Gracie there, I knew everything was taken care of. She is a wonderful med tech as well as Jen and the other med techs. Naomi, a care giver, was so sweet and kind to all the residents, as well as Ricky and all the other care givers...unfortunately, I have forgotten many of their names, but I have not forgotten how caring they were. Also, Marcie took pride in making sure the rooms were clean for the residents. Her upbeat personality was appreciated by the residents and visitors. I feel very fortunate that we found Shavano Park Senior Living. Thank you.

My father has been in Shavano Park Senior Living and Memory Care for over a year now and my family and I are VERY pleased with his care. Thank you Gracie for checking in on him so regularly. We appreciate you and the rest of the staff. 😀

Please stay away from this place. My mom and dad passed after they were there for just 3 months. My mom was an independent person walking until she fell. When she fell, they put her in a wheelchair and never took her out. Because my mom passed away December 9th, they are prorating her time there and have yet to pay me back. Please be wary of this place. Whenever you call, they are in meetings. They are fast to take your money, but when they owe it to you back you're going to wait forever. We are already 5 months since my parents passed. Both of them died in December. Their food sucks too. My dad would not eat it. I had to bring him food. My mom's bed literally had shit on it. My uncle was the one who saw it. They leave the residents wet. Supposed to check on them every hour. Well I had to buy cameras cause it wasn't happening. My sister and I would have to call the director to get someone to help tend to my parents.

Assisted Living and Memory Care at Shavano Park are amazing facilities. The rooms and environment are great. The activities are carefully planned to match the needs of the residents. However, the BEST part of Shavano Park is the Staff. From Heather, the Executive Director, to Leesah, the Business Manager, to LaShawn, our Sales/Rental Specialist, and Christine, the Director of Memory Care. Their compassion, patience, and wealth of knowledge and information about senior care are beyond excellent. I now have a parent in Assisted Living and her husband in Memory Care. I see so much comfort and compassion from the Care Teams and Medical Technicians. Shavano Park is the place we have found for our family. Thank thank you, Shavano Park! And thank you for all of you who take such good care of our family!!
