I volunteer at Pegasus Landing of Forney when they play Bingo. The receptionist is very friendly and welcomes everyone with a smile. She cares for the residents as if they were her family. The activity director always has fun activities for the residents. There is some kind of activity every day; many times several in one day. Recently, they have landscaped all around the building with new grass, plants and trees. Within the past year, they have remodeled inside with new flooring, fresh paint, etc. Recently, new theater chairs have been added to the movie room. My mother lived there when it was “ Three Forks”. So many improvements have been made since it was sold to Pegasus Landing. Anyone is welcome to visit and see how nice the staff and building are for the residents.

My mother has been at Three Forks for the last 10 months. Initially we selected it because it looked nice and was very close to our home. Now I wouldn't want her anywhere else. The most important thing to us is the the staff there really care for their residents. I'm there nearly ever day a witness first hand the love and compassion that the RAs and Med-techs show the people they care for. The Director is a super nice guy. We're hoping that the new management keeps this quality of care going. Mom loves the food there too.

UPDATE: To throw fuel in the fire they sent us a bill for over 11,000 for July. When we already gave notice that we are moving them 7/11 (to a MUCH NICER home that is way less, and immaculate.) Please do your homework on this place, and look at at least 2 or 3 places before choosing to send your loved ones into this hell hole. The ED and marketing director (Karla and Kelli) are absolutely unprofessional, rude, and scam artists. They cite these levels of care, yet every time we visit our parents have NOT received anything special. Also, our mom is on hospice, which are wonderful and kind caregivers that come in to give her the extra care she needs. Pegasus is trying to charge as much as possible when their staff isn't even doing the work! This place is a true nightmare and we have heard from all of the places we looked to rehome them that many other families from Pegasus are also looking to jump ship. They are going to run this place into the ground, and rightfully so. Caring for elderly dementia patients takes love and compassion. All this place wants is money. Complete greed, and our family is disgusted by their unprofessionalism and LACK of care for the home and residents. Just utterly heartbreaking this company would neglect the residents and ask for an insane amount of money. The memory care side is in dire need of updating and a complete refresh of how they treat these humans. There are MUCH better options, Long Creek in Sunnyvale and Caimbridge Court in Mesquite are resort-style options that are less expensive and Avillacare in Heath was also much nicer and less expensive. Shame on Pegasus for their corporate greed. We can not wait to get our loved ones out of there and into a much nicer home with a staff that is more like family. We placed our parents there in 2021 after they went missing and were thankfully found by the work of the Silver Alert program. We really liked Three Forks staff and were happy for a few years. The place was bought out by Pegusus Senior Living, and all we have seen is decline since the change. Constant staff turnover, horrid smell, visible filth and unkempt common areas, as well as our parents apartment. We often have our family visit and since the new administration came in, they took away the large tables and dining chairs we used to gather at. We now have to search through closets to find a card table to gather around, and our family must either stand during visits or sit in urine/fecal stained wheelchairs. Our parents have had a issue with mold in their bathroom ceiling for over a year without being addressed by maintenance. They have also had a broken toilet that took months to have them fix inside their apartment. We were given a locked in rate in 2021 that was to be for life, and after the new administration came in, they want to increase their rate by 1,000 a month, citing "level of care" increases for things like administering medications, reminding them to brush teeth, and even for having to remind them when it is time for meals. Our parents are one of the only few in the memory care that are not wheelchair bound. The home has replaced a section of wall decor that had been set aside for family to leave positive comments for the staff with a picture of the new executive team that means absolutely nothing to my parents or the family. I would urge anyone looking to place a loved one here to NOT. While there are a few staff members there that we know love our parents and do a phenomenal job (Sandra, Arie, Kirby, Kat) the management is concerned only about the bottom line. It makes my stomach churn to see this new administration on their current money grab while also neglecting the residents.

Recently inquired assisted living for my mother future placement. I spoke with Crystal Lawrence marketing director, she is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. When the time comes Pegasus landing will be our place of choice.
