Great Experience for my wife she spent 14 days for rehab after a hospitalization. Kenisha, Robin, Dee and others nurses were nice and efficient. Donte from the kitchen was great along with Lula. Elizabeth, Christian, Saniqua, and Cathy great staff. And of course Social Worker Stacie was fantastic always was able to answer questions and follow through on requests. Great attitude and attention to detail in her work. I was disappointed with one individual who I approached several times with questions she stated she was very busy and and she “ all these different duties “ she told me to talk to her when she was at her desk however when I did she was talking with others at her desk and I asked her politely can I talk and once again she stated “ maybe tomorrow “ . But overall very good experience for my wife. Also I want to add the Rehab staff were fantastic PT and OT thumbs up great service and was very significant in my wife’s recovery great work.

My dad was there for less than 24 hours before we moved him…that’s how unsafe and uncaring they are at this facility, especially the director, Tim. My dad did not receive his meds in a timely manner which caused him become confused and disoriented. I arrived shortly after my dad had been transported to Novi Lakes and asked at the nurses station what room he was in. Without even looking up, the man pointed in the direction of my dad’s room. There was also a small toddler behind the desk, I’m assuming one of the workers kids. No one let us know the routine for my dad. After not receiving his meds and becoming disoriented, they informed us that we needed to hire a sitter to stay with him overnight because they didn’t have enough staff. My mom and I made the decision to take him back to the hospital because we’re weren’t certain of his safety. Every staff member told a different story and all of them complained about the lack of staff. I contacted the director, Tim, on a Saturday to convey my concerns but all he could really tell me was how I was ruining his family breakfast. I filed a complaint with Novi Lakes and had to wait over two weeks (when I called them back) to basically tell me what happened wasn’t what actually happened. I’m leaving this review to help other unsuspecting families not make the same mistake we did trusting them to care for my father. I guess I should have gone with the first red flag when we went to visit before choosing to send my dad there, when the female weekend supervisor was very quick to tell us they offer alcohol to their patients during “happy hour” everyday. They didn’t have enough staff to care for their patients let alone to monitor their alcohol intake or how it would affect their meds. Tim only cares about the bottom line. If you need a place to send a loved one, I would suggest Wellbridge in Novi. It’s definitely a gamble to send them to Novi Lakes.

My grandmother came home the same way she went in PT definitely tried their hardest Scott was the sweetest myself and my family did 99% of caring for my grandmother while she was in this facility we could not leave her alone for very long because if she needed something the staff would either take forever to assist or turned the light off and said they would be back and never went back. This review is not the end of making it known and I know that all facilities are horrible but I’ll be the one to stand up for our loved ones not even just mine for all and make a change for all the ones that are in need of care

Novi Lakes is a very nice and clean place! The food is great and the staff are always so helpful. If you have a loved one needing rehab services or even assisted living I highly recommend this place. They have a great therapy team and you can always count on seeing familiar faces in both parts of the campus.
