Your loved one should be very, very independent and adaptable to live here—both physically and with technology. There is no health or cognitive screening to make sure residents are placed at the right level of care, so most residents wind up in Independent Living if they pass the financial screen and that’s what they want. Food areas are far from most apartments (1/4 mile or more) and often very chaotic. Very bureaucratic-hard to get to the right person. No one monitors your loved one to see if they need to go to their very limited assisted living, memory care, etc. Their model of care is to sell you an apartment, and then you bring in your own 24/7 caregivers. If you do move to their continuing care building, there is pressure to use their moving and design services all over again—and you may still need to hire your own caregivers due to low staffing. The doctors and one male nurse over at Rose Court in rehab/skilled nursing were outstanding. Yet, it took a hospitalization and the luck of seeing the right name in a Fox Run newsletter to finally get to them. The move-out process was also very smooth and well-done. It could be great for very young, active and extroverted retirees who can be dropped off in the middle of a huge corporation and find their way.

My wife and I moved to Fox Run 6 months ago. We love it! The staff is welcoming and friendly. Other residents are kind and inviting. This is a wonderful place to make new friends with interesting, intelligent people. There is a medical center, beauty shop, swimming pool, cardiac and muscle strength exercise room. There are 5 restaurants, most of which have sit down service. The food has been outstanding. There are more than 100 clubs including pickleball. The grounds are beautifully planted and maintained. Assisted living buildings are walking distance and can be reached without going outside. It's like living on a cruise ship. Highly recommended.

All of the residents and staff here are super friendly and welcoming to new people. There are over a hundred clubs to choose from, so something for every interest, hobby, or game. Several great apartment layouts and sizes to choose from. I love Fox Run!

15 years ago my husband and I moved into Fox Run. He was able to stay with me in our apartment for the first 21/2 years, but when he was unable to stand up on his own, he moved to continuing care. He.lived there for the next 3 years until his death in 2015. I was able to furnish and decorate his room to please him and to spend as much time with him as I wanted - and I could bring the dog with me as well. The staff soon became our family. They'd stop by to visit; they provided personal care in a loving and professional manner, and the night he died his aid put her arms around me and wept right along with me. We are a family here at Fox Run: administration, staff, residents, student servers: we listen to each other, have fun with each other and encourage each other through hard times. I'm so happy I'm living here!
