These are staffed by licensed healthcare providers and offer a range of services to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.

Moved my elderly sister-in-law from independent living in Maryland to assisted living at The Neighborhood. She has several health issues requiring medical treatment daily. The facility is modern, clean and quiet. Her studio apartment is a nice size space with large bathroom allowing us to decorate it to make her feel more at home. Her view of the Sandias is stunning. She loves to read on the outdoor patio. The management are great; easy to work with and contact. The staff are professional, well trained, attentive, and fun. They engage my sister and tend to her medical/personal needs. Her medical issues are being well managed/controlled. She is receiving PT/OT and feels it is helping her. The activity calendar gets her engaged and stimulated. She routinely leaves during our visits to participate in some event. Every time we visit her, she tells us how happy she is there. She enjoys dining and said she has to limit her choices because she feels like she's eating too much, i.e. the food must be good! The reason for moving her was to find a facility that could meet her needs, keep her clean/comfortable and happy. We researched and visited many facilities in the ABQ metro area. The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho is by far the best we've seen and we are really glad we helped our sister move there. We highly recommend The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho.

During the past 6 months this place has not become a better place it’s actually done quite the opposite. I’m not even sure on where to start. The ‘Healthcare side’ It’s a disaster since Dawne left. Staff doesn’t work together as a team there anymore everyone is basically out for themselves. Unfortunately Upper management has made it very clear they do not care if their staff members walk out the door. This is the lowest paying company around in Rio Rancho they start at $18 for new hires and even if you have 10years of experience the max they offer is $20.21 vs other companies starting @20$/hr. The new infection Prevention lady (Leann) is very disrespectful she believes that SNAPPING HER FINGERS At staff members and making rude comments and demands is acceptable and that is certainly not how you treat staff members. Our old boss used to wear scrubs daily and help out on the floor when things got crazy but not this new lady. She’s always wearing heels, being demanding, rude, and far from helpful. The way she talks over staff and does not let them even get a word in while accusing them of things she knows nothing about is absolutely wild. The facility has absolutely no communication whatsoever it’s so bad that even the residents are noticing. They are so short handed there’s constantly new agency staff in the building and 3/4ths of the agency people have absolutely no idea what’s going on nor how to properly care for the residents/ your lovely family members. The residents here pay over $10,000/month (NOT MEDICADE) for quality living and quality food and they don’t get much to show for it. On the healthcare side there is NEVER any snacks for the residents so they have to suffer when again they pay the most out of the whole facility but are constantly treaded as if they don’t matter. Also the Kitchen Has COCKROACHES. The nutrition aide has asked many many times for them to spray for bugs and help but that also doesn’t happen. In the mornings when I turn the kitchen light on the cockroaches scatter it’s actually very nauseating to know we have baby roaches in our food areas. Linen it always seems to disappear we can’t give showers or make beds because there’s no towels, no washcloths, and the best part NO LINENS about 60% of the time and the few that are left have nasty holes are they are cheap material paper thin and they just plain don’t fit. We are expected to do our jobs to the utmost but not provided with the proper materials to even get them done. Upper management also decided it would be a great idea to have you work every other day rather than sticking to our regular schedules that some staff members have had for year’s resulting in a lot of walk outs and 2 week notices being put in. This place has always had some staffing issues but never like this. The new management will tear this place down and it will happen quiet Fast. All in all I would not recommend this location or the sister location La Vida Llena. If you are looking at this place for rehab I strongly suggest you look at the Suites of Rio Vista after working agency for them they are a true family with proper beliefs and are rated 5 stars for physical therapy.

My mom was here for about month. I was so happy with the care she got and the staff there. If she ever needs rehab again I'll want her back.
