    I toured MorningStar while my siblings and I were searching for the best local assisted living facility for our mother. This is a beautiful modern facility with so many amenities. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, warm, and kind. I especially want to mention the wonderful interactions I had with Sarah, who spent so much time doing the tour with me and answering my many questions. And Deanna, who was so understanding and supportive when our family’s plans suddenly and unexpectedly changed. I will have no hesitation recommending MorningStar in the future to friends in need.

    Moved my mother here several years ago and she recently moved on. Unfortunately while she was there we watched Morningstar degenerate into just another company run by private equity, where they care not for their customers (residents) but for how much they can cut and how much they can profit. The poor care given here is really the most concerning. They have very high turnover among the caregivers and are unable to retain good people because corporate is always cutting corners. They have minimal staff covering far too many residents and really I wonder if it even meets legal requirements. It shouldn't, to be honest. They should have a revolving door given how quickly new staff members come and go. The food here is now horrible - it was once good but that was before the corporate cut backs. The staff on-site are and kind but this is a toxic business and I do not recommend for anyone or their parents to live here. If mother were still here we would have looked for alternatives.

    Morningstar is a wonderful place. The care is exceptional, the food is amazing, and the entire staff is always helpful, caring and compassionate. While most people’s preference is to be at home, this is an amazing alternative for those who need extra care.

    Beautiful building, good food, great maintenance staff. Otherwise, staff is overworked and management creates an environment of blame and caregiver in-fighting. My mom was in MC, left wet all day, no activities, even TV was turned off because director didn't want it to be "babysitting"; but, nothing else was provided, so residents sat in a circle staring at each other. Management supported "favorite" staff and made even advocating for family member uncomfortable. Glad we're out. With regard to your response, this was not us. Clearly, other families have experienced the same thing.
