Merrill Gardens at Green Valley Ranch

I visit merill gardens often to see a resident who lives here and I am super impressed by the staff here. I happened to be here on Christmas Eve and the General manager, Dawn stood out to me because she was helping out with taking orders and busting tables. I have been to so many retirement homes and assisted living homes and I never see the managers or directors helping in the kitchen, especially not on Christmas. Dawn put a net over her hair and go to work. She spoke to everyone and had such a pleasant attitude. I think she is an amazing example of a leader. More establishments need to take note! Next, Olly! Always pleasant. Always telling everyone what activities is going on or what is coming up next. Also always takes the time to speak to me and everyone passing by. Olly enjoys the job and has passion for this field, I can tell! Always smiling and cheerful, even if there’s a lot to do and plan! Next, Cheryl! As soon as I walk in she is at the front desk, smiling, happy, and handling whatever tasks she faced with. I speak to Cheryl for just a few minutes when I leave and exit but she truly makes you feel like you have known her for so long! She is the perfect person to have at the front desk. Lastly, Elizabeth, the lead server! So amazing, positive, quick with service. I see why she is the lead. She comes to work with a smile on her face and makes you feel very welcomed. She knows her residents, she knows what they typically order and ensures everything is good before you leave that dining room. These employees truly stand out and as stated, I have been to so many retirement homes and I haven’t ever come across a place that had great employees across the board. In addition to the employees being great, it’s clean here, well kept, lots of activities going on. I’d recommend this place to anyone in search of place for their loved one.

As a medical office, we work closely with many assisted living communities, and this facility is among the best. All staff are great, Kristel the resident care director is professional, responsive, and truly collaborative, making coordinated care seamless. The environment in Merrill Gardens is very clean, well-managed, and resident-focused. We highly recommend this community to families and healthcare partners alike.

I toured several communities before this one, and Merrill Gardens stood out because it didn’t feel cold or clinical. The staff were genuinely kind, the apartments felt like home, and the energy was warm. The food was flexible and surprisingly tasty, and the activity calendar was packed with things that looked fun, not just filler. I left thinking, “I’d actually live here myself one day.”

What a well thought out facility with its beautiful location, apartments, amenities, home-feeling atmosphere along with a resort-living lifestyle. The staff are so warm, professional, caring, and take such great pride in their residents and community. You won’t regret having your loved one cared for here; they will thrive and enjoy this season of their life without stress or worries!
