I visited Westmont Senior Living of Santa Barbara with my 92 year old mother. The staff was professional, authentically caring, easy to communicate with, and responsive. The facility was warm, home-like and roomy without being overwhelming and extensive. There is variety of care and every resident has their own apartment. There are plenty of social and stimulating activities. I was impressed by the facility and how it is managed.

My heart is full and seriously so grateful for the genuine, passionate and loving service my family receives from the staff at the Westmont of Santa Barbara. And the food, WOW, it’s like five star dining at every meal. The staff even provide table service. So special. This combination and level of service is unprecedented.

Our journey with Westmont of Santa Barbara began with Miss Peggy. Meeting her was like coming home! Making the decision to place your loved one in a care facility is very stressful and one riddled with intense emotions, meeting Peggy made me know in my gut that this was the right place for my mom. We flew my mom in from a different state and we were not able to bring her during the normal intake hours. Despite this, the Westmont team went above and beyond to accommodate us and made the transition as smooth and comforting as possible. Miss Cindy is an absolute gem! Her warmth, patience, and compassion shine through every interaction. No matter how busy or challenging her day may be, she always greets me with a smile, a hug, and kind words. She’s talked me off the wall more than once when I was having moments of doubt, guilt and sadness. No facility is going to be perfect; it is people caring for people. I entered Westmont of Santa Barbara wanting to establish a relationship with the staff, the people that I am entrusting the well-being of my mom. I find that it is important to be a collaborative member of her care team. Loli, Gian, Omar, and Masami are treasures. My mom loves them, and more importantly, she feels safe, respected, and cared for. Their presence brings peace to both of us, and for that, I am deeply grateful! - Michele C.

Update…. EJ was let go and things have gone hill dramatically. Very short staffed in every area, food is greasy and unhealthy, very few activities if any and parents room and laundry are not being cleaned. I have asked repeatedly to new management directors and owners of corporation with zero changes. Rates keep going up and services continue to drop to all time low. Moral is lowest I’ve seen in over 5 years. Beautiful facility but extremely miss managed.
