Maravilla is a very tranquil operation. The property is nicely laid out and has very well maintained grounds. The architectural theme is keeping with Santa Barbara and its Spanish heritage. The facilities are well maintained and the employees we encountered were all warm and inviting. Overall really nice place to be.

Curious about Maravilla, my husband and I went to an Open House. We were delightedly surprised by what we experienced! The highly knowledgeable, warm and welcoming residential Director, Lesley, took us on a leisurely and deep tour, enabling us to experience what it’s like to live there. To us, Maravillla appears to be a beautiful, intimate, warm and friendly, well-planned private village. Lovely grounds and ambiance, meandering walkways, charming private living quarters, wonderful food, friendly residents, special care facilities for those who’d like, along with a bank, restaurant, gym, hair salon, game rooms, movie theatre, multiple well-appointed and spacious residential gathering rooms ... it goes on and on. We could see ourselves living there very happily. Leslie left us with a genuine feeling of welcome to visit any time. And we will.

I enjoyed my visit to Maravilla’s Christmas event. However, Because I am pre diabetic, I was not able to partake in the delicious, looking desserts. I enjoyed the decorations and the beauty of the buildings and grounds.

HORRIFIC experience. One star is a compliment. In my experience the Assisted Living Director is unprofessional, unqualified, untruthful, and lacks transparency, that is when you can actually “reach” her or get her to return a call or voicemail. Best of luck. My mother resided there for 18 days and we have been charged nearly $40,000. Is there an Executive Director in the house? You have ONE job. SRG? Hello? Maravilla needs to do better. The “workers” are solid, the administrators, not so much (in our experience). Look elsewhere. There are far better senior living communities in Santa Barbara. I have already placed my 87-year old mother after a mere 19-day stay.
