It is a nice building, bright and spacious. Great activities, good food! If you just need assistance with small things it is good place but if you have Parkinson's with Dementia or similar, this is not a place I would recommend. I was told they could care for my mom properly in the memory care area. They could not. She fell 2 times in 1 day then another time that week--sent to er, nothing wrong with her luckily. Mom kept forgetting she could not walk without assistance, and they knew that since she had fallen at least 4 times there prior. Now they were not to send her to hospital unless paramedics said to us that she should go after assessing her, we even signed papers. (It was stressing mom and causing delusions & more) The hospital called me at 2am in morning to tell me she was there, not Lorain Estates, they never reached out to us to explain fall or situation. So, staff does not respect their higher ups and do not listen to instructions. Mom did really like her room and the space and other residents so it was a shame we had to uproot her. I wish they would have told me upfront they could not care for her properly. I was not impressed with the P.A. who was looking after patients either.

As my brothers health declined and was living independly we needed him closer to us in Amherst Oh. We looked at several places and selected Lorain Estates Senior Living. He only had four months to enjoy the care and great meals provided there. He was as happy as he could be with failing health, but as his overseer I have to thank the entire staff from administration to health administrator, secratary, diatary, and to the maintenance dept. If I could give them rating of ten I would gladly. Thanks to all at Lorain Estates for making his last four months, the best he could have.

I highly recommend Lorain Estates as one of the best options for Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lorain County. The staff has tenure and is attentive, management is consistently quick to respond and very involved. I frequently place individuals there and have even entrusted family members to their care.

Staff are positive and upbeat at all times. Building is clean and in good shape. Great programming and therapists. Will recommend in the future
