Amherst Manor is located in the heart of historic Amherst, Ohio-the Sandstone Center of the World. Our facility is a warm and inviting place you can call home. Delight in the scenic view of nine wooded acres while still having the convenience of access to small town city downtown venues.
Amherst Manor, the Sprenger Family's first facility, boasts a new skilled nursing addition with all private rooms, an amazing therapy department, pub, outdoor courtyard and assisted living facility.
Sprenger Health Care was established in 1959 and is a 3rd generation, family-owned regional company with campuses in Ohio and South Carolina.

Memory Care

Life Plan/CCRCs

I moved my mom here earlier this year . She has done amazing . She is on the Memory Care Unit and all of the staff have been wonderful. They always give me an update on her day and it’s much appreciated . They are all very attentive , kind and polite . All my moms aides and nurses are compassionate and caring . They were made for this line of work . I know she is in god hands with them ! Endia , the Administrator has been very helpful as well . She answers any questions and is very welcoming and inviting . Her attitude is very positive and has a bubbly personality . She is always seeking and introducing herself to family members . You can tell she truly cares and is compassionate about her job , her team and most importantly her residents . I feel good leaving the visit with my mom knowing she is in good hands .

I just moved a family member into Amherst Manor assisted living and everything went smoothly. Everyone was very helpful answered all our questions. They made the transition very smooth. I recommend them to anyone looking for a great place for their loved ones.

Zero!! Just had to pick a star. Director of Nursing puts her patients at risk by creating unsafe environments. I have many concerns for the residents at this facility under her care.
