I just wanted to say how grateful I am to the staff at Ivy Park at Oakland Hills for taking such good care of my Mom Julie and her little dog Bella over the last two-and-a-half months. They are unfailingly kind, thoughtful and cheerful there. Mom says the people are nice and the food is good, and she has no complaints! There are attractive outdoor spaces around the facility as well as nice rooms and a large common room and dining room on the memory care floor. Scheduled activities go on all day there for those who want to participate, including a great concert that Mom and I got to listen to together for a bit. I especially like that they have dedicated med techs giving the medicines, as we had problems with caregivers from Mom's last home-care company making repeated medication administration errors with both Mom and Dad. It gives me great peace of mind to know that mom's in the care of real professionals now and in pleasant surroundings. If you're looking for a safe and attractive place for your loved one in Oakland, CA, give Ivy Park a look.

My companion has been at Ivy Park Oakland in their Evergreen memory care for 5 months. I’m am so impressed with the care here. The care givers are kind, attentive and loving. The activities (dancing, painting) and the view is outstanding! The food is good, too. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We highly recommend it for your loved one.

My mother at 101 years old and with dementia needs the best of care and that is what she has been receiving for the past 16 years since she moved to Sunrise. I should know as I’m there at least several times a week and have seen the kindness and friendliness of the staff, many of whom have been there this whole time. I am particularly impressed with all the activities, the quizzes, the games, movies and music that they make available and also the energy with which they make sure everyone is included. I cannot express how happy we as a family are that our mother is in such a fine place - and she’s always busy and happy too.

My husband, Frank, has been in the Sunrise of Oakland Hills Memory Care Neighborhood for 3 years. It was not an easy decision to make because my sons and I were very confident in providing him loving quality care using both home care and Adult Day Care. However, as safety became an issue, we had to rethink other options. Sunrise was selected for several reasons: 1. Close proximity to our home, just 5 minutes away 2. Visiting many support sessions, I was able to discuss so many aspects of dementia and Alzheimers with other family members 3. Visiting in Memory Care, I observed the level of care for the residents given by the caregivers 4. Activities to promote stimulation was varied and apparent Now 3 years later, my sons and I continue to be pleased and happy with Frank's care. We also play a role in it. I am very involved with Frank, visiting frequently and I love the relationship I am building with the administration and the amazing caregivers. My "kudos" as well as "concerns" are frequently shared and all receive ready responses. Sunrise of Oakland Hills is definitely our choice for Frank's care! We are thankful! Silver, Dan, & Matt White
