The service at Home wood Health Campus is terrible. I am angry with them all the time My dad is self paying over $6,000 (thousand) dollars a month. The food is awful (me and my wife have eaten there ourselves) Don't believe their website everything is so not true! Here is one example of many, many instances... My dad was totally exhausted when I came to see him like I've never seen him before so I asked him why do you look so exhausted dad? and he told me he pushed the nurse button and no one came all night. He needed to get up to use the bathroom and could not get out of bed and ended up messing on himself and urinating too because he tried and tried but could not get out of bed. He said his phone alarm was blaring on his phone at 6:00 AM but he tried and tried but could not get out of bed to reach it. Finally the breakfast staff came in telling him it was time for breakfast and I said Dad, this is terrible! Something has got to give! I could literally write a book about the level of care this place gives! There is just too much to list here. It's a constant battle all the time and me and my sisters have even had meetings and nothing changes. All of this makes it so hard to come see my dad because he is so angry about the care he is receiving but I certainly can not blame him for it. If you are thinking about having a loved one live here please take my advice. They don't go by the golden rule at all. "Do unto others ans you would have others do unto you" does not exist at home Wood. My advice: "Stay Away from this place".

Before surgery, I asked the Lord “when am I going to get taken care of?” After surgery, I came to Homewood for rehab. All of the staff are excellent and the food was sinfully delicious, often tempted to overeat - no need for snacks!! Activities were great. Rehab was helpful in getting my independence back. I did not want to leave, I was having too much fun enjoying my new friends in the dining room. I played euchre with new friends, I got to paint & enjoy BINGO! I’m excited about my mother wanting to come to Homewood for assisted living. It’s less stressful being at Homewood for older people so they don’t have to be responsible for the upkeep of their homes as they get older. I’m planning on returning to Homewood for rehab after surgery on my other knee!

They get 0 stars! Neglect Abuse! Left my Mom's arm wrapped for a month never once changing her bandages with doctor and nurses on premise. She died a horrible death with lymph fluid filling up her lungs due to her arm being wrapped for so so long. Do not trust this place! It's not the staff. It's the owners!!!

My mother was in the health care (skilled nursing) unit for 5.5 months, until we finally realized it wasn't going to get better and moved her due to the quality of care at Homewood. The staff are very polite and nice, and most of them are also skilled. I think they care about the residents a lot, and they all work *really hard.* But this can't make up for understaffing, especially in the CNA/QMA and nursing staff. It was routine for mom to wait more than an hour for help when she put on her bell. Also, staff did not use a gait belt to help mom move, which was a simple safety requirement that we requested repeatedly. The administrator would simply smile and tell me they have adequate staff when I went to her with my concerns. Homewood is owned by a large and very profitable corporation, Trilogy Health Services. They need to spend more on hiring and retaining the staff who do the hardest jobs here.
