I signed lease Nov 15 for 1 bedroom/1bath apartment. It's awesome. Moved in Nov 30 after repainting/cleaning/new flooring. Alex and Alexus very involved and helpful. Some issues had to go to "corporate" which added delay. Seemed to me on-site managers should have more autonomy. Facility is amazing and has everything. Residents are wonderfully friendly, open and inclusive. Lots of activities every day. Activities Director Jen is fantastic and has boundless energy. One would have to work hard at being bored or lonely. When you join Holbrook Decatur AP, you become part of a true community.

Our good friend, Bruce, was interested in considering an active senior community so we stopped in to check out Holbrook. From our first visit, throughout move-in and during his residency, the entire staff, particularly Alex and Alexa, were stellar. Alexa went out of her way to visit Bruce daily. The vivacious events leader, Jen, insured, a smooth transition into the community. This mattered so much to us as Bruce was originally reluctant to leave his home. Once he moved in, Bruce quickly realized he was amongst friends and everybody including residents, and staff alike, treated him like family. The staff paid exceptional attention to detail. They would notice when Bruce was out of sorts, or potentially, had an illness, quite before his doctors could recognize the problem. It meant so much to us and to Bruce that he had the opportunity to be a part of the Holbrook family. Susan Schlittler

I'm a Medication Aide and I picked up at this facility for this evening through KARE. The workload was heavy but manageable. The care partners were EXTREMELY helpful! The other facility staff was friendly and helpful as well!! This facility is BEAUTIFUL and clean! It smells soooooo good!! The residents' families that I met today were inquisitive and loving. I enjoyed the environment and plan to pick up here again!!! I do recommend but don't step on my toes for the shifts that I want🥴 then ima regret giving my recommendation 😠🙄

My mom was part of the Holbrook family for almost five years until she recently passed away. The entire staff took such wonderful care of her, even throughout the pandemic. The kindness, caring and compassion displayed by the entire staff is beyond superlative. So many people to thank, including, but not limited to, Alexus Staples, Omar, Maima, Andrea and Jae Hunte-Stinnett (General Manager). I will always be grateful that we made the choice to move Mom there. Thank you, Holbrook family.
