I’ve partnered with Arbor Terrace Decatur for some time now through my work in hospice, and I’ve had a really positive experience working with their team. They do a great job making sure residents are well cared for and are always open to collaboration. Angie Jackson is an absolute gem. Her residents are clearly her top priority, and she stays very involved in their care. David Stewart is an awesome leader. He’s always welcoming and easy to talk to, which makes a big difference when building relationships in the community. Overall, it’s a solid team that genuinely cares about their residents.

We placed my mother here in May and she has flourished. She has become more social, attending the exercise classes and joining bookclub! The team here is patient with my mom when she has tough days. This is the best thing we have done for my mom since her level of care increased to more consistent assistance.

If I could give Arbor Terrace 6 stars I would -- I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. The staff genuinely care deeply about the residents which translates to above and beyond service consistently, in both every day interactions as well as in emergency situations. When we were cleaning out the apartment after our parent's passing, we were overwhelmed and moved by the number of staff that stopped by to tell us stories about our parent and how much they would miss them. They are also wonderful to work with from an administrative perspective, leading with empathy and understanding.

I looked at several assisted living facilities before choosing Arbor Terrace. When I moved my 89 year-old mom in to her new apartment there yesterday, all of my hopes for a loving, caring, and safe home for her were confirmed. The facility is beautiful – updated, modern and clean. The residents all look happy along with the staff that serves them. Staff members consistently greeted mom and I with eye contact and a friendly warm smile and a big welcome. They helped make this transition exciting for mom instead of feeling like a loss. Special shout outs go to Arbor Terrace leaders Denise Moore, Seankia (activities), Angie (nursing), Brittany (facilities), Angela (dining) and Susan (front desk) as well as their team members. You are all special people doing incredibly important work caring for those who cared for us first. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💚
