Heron Cove Assisted Living & Memory Care of Vero Beach

My grandmother lives at the barclays , and really loves it. The staff there is so kind to her, they all know her name & her preferences. The recreational activities director named Jackie, even calls her to try to get her to come down for activities. Because sometimes my grandmother gets a little bit down and it's hard for her to motivate . Jackie has noticed this and goes out of her way to try and motivate her and encourage her to participate. Living , there has really been an excellent change for my grandmother. She has made friends she shares meals with and she's walking and engaging more than she has in years.

The Barclay in Vero Beach is a wonderful facility. We moved my mother in there in May 2025. That is when it was called Heron Cove. Now it is called the Barclay of Vero Beach. They have taken wonderful care of my mother. The food experience is really nice. The food is delicious and the restaurant they use to serve the residents is pleasant. They keep my mother‘s room clean and tidy. They also bathe her as needed. Tamaya works as Concierge and keeps everything organized. Cindy Morrell the executive Director is professional and runs a great place. Moira Amaral and Cindy make a great team creating a program for the residents and running it.

This is a special shout out to Latesha Creary, Director of Activities, at the Vero Beach Barkley Assisted Living. Latesha is one in a million! She is the friendliest, happiest, and most good hearted person. She not only does an AMAZING job with all the activities at the Barkley, but more importantly, makes every resident feel so special. The Barkley is lucky to have her.

Visited The Barclay Assisted Living and was thrilled to see how nice and beautiful the community is now with the new management. So happy my aunt is there being taken care of by a great team!
