The skill level in memory care is very lacking. There a few select aides that seem to know what they are doing. One nurse went over and above to care for my dad. She is no longer there. Really wish the help would be consistent. Communication with families is very poor. When my dad passed he was taken to the wrong funeral home and when his body was released we were never informed. Im grateful to the people that cared for him Delilah & Marsha made the time he was there tolerable. My mom is still in residence but I have to stay on top of everything from making sure she gets her meals every day to her medication being given correctl I could go on but nothing will ever change other than the constant change over in staff. I would also like to say Mindy is a lifesaver for my mom. I hope she is not one that leaves!

Jhamira is an exceptional healthcare worker who genuinely cares about the residents in the Heritage Muskego community. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure they feel valued, respected, and well cared for. Jhamira takes the time to get to know each person individually, treating everyone with kindness, compassion, and dignity. She truly respected both my parents, taking time to understand their unique needs and personalities. When my mom passed away, Jhamira attended the visitation, spending time with our family and sharing memories of their time together. Her support didn’t stop there—she continued to check on my dad, visiting him regularly to make sure he’s okay. He looks forward to her visits and always tells us when she stops by. Jhamira takes time to sit with him, engage in conversation, and encourage him to be social, which has had a positive impact on his well-being. Her compassion, dedication, and genuine care for the residents make her a valuable member of the team. Jhamira’s work goes far beyond just meeting the physical needs of the residents; she fosters connection, empathy, and respect. She is a truly remarkable healthcare worker who exemplifies the highest standards of care.

Please if you are reading this and care about your loved one, do not send them here. Before I sound off please know a few of the aids here are quite generous and good with older individuals, however the manager or owner whatever she is, Emily, and most of the aids are not. This place treats your loved one as if they are merely an object with no feelings and a transaction, not a human being. While my grandma was a resident, she was yelled at, not fed, neglected when asking for help, given cold showers or not even given a shower, not helped to get changed before bed or put to bed, food sat in her rooms for HOURS, meaning no one has checked on my grandma for that long, the list goes on... As a granddaughter, let me tell you, it breaks my heart to have known she went through all of that and more that we don’t even know. My grandma was an amazing woman, and this place broke her. Early on, we were in communications with management and were given no help or peace of mind, as a matter of fact, it got WORSE there and on top of it, state had come in and many families voiced their concerns on this place and their loved ones care. Which brings me to Emily, the now owner… she has no empathy for anyone at all. When your loved one passes, you will see her either avoiding you like the plague, talking about you, or rushing in to give you paper work… yup, you better believe, she will not express her condolences at all (And hey I’m not expecting tears or monologue, just a simple, “sorry for your loss”). Talk about heartless. As I said, many families have complained to the state and they won’t do anything so I am here advocating for those that are still there and people who are looking for a place to send their loved ones because my grandma should have never had to deal with this type of care towards the end and yours shouldn’t either.

My grandma lives at Heritage Muskego. One of her favorite things each week is the Friday Happy Hour — it’s something she looks forward to and talks about all the time. Thanks to the activity gals for making this happen
