Please do NOT choose Franklin place memory care. Formerly Autumn leaves of Franklin. New management took over as of May 1st. My parents were neglected. Food was "withheld". Medication not given at appropriate times. Falls that go unreported. Dirty facility. Parents room seldom got cleaned. Majority of staff is rude, if you can even find a staff member. Difficult to get "buzzed" into the facility and to get out. Need a staff member for that. Parent that sat in urine. Inconsistent showers. Please please. Choose anyone else.

We are deleriously happy we placed our Alzheimers afflicted mother at Autunm Leaves. It was a new facility at the time, less than 10 years ago. Mom, coming from a poor background was very happy with the choice, and thought she was staying in a fancy hotel or resort. Of course, Mom wasn't happy to be placed at all, but after 6 months she more or less forgot that this hadn't always been her home. When my two siblings and I go there to visit, we never call ahead. We just show up at the door and Mom is always is clean, well dressed, and gets her hair and nails done for a very good price once a month. The food there is appropriate for people like Mom. Balanced meals and they cater to all her needs, since she has no teeth and has lately had trouble swallowing. They encourage her to always sit at the same table with the same table mates chosen to be compatible with Mom's personality. She even calls one her friend. The staff follow her closely and make sure she has necessities like when she became feeble and needed a walker to get around. My mom fell once or twice with only minor complications, and if they have any uncertainty they'll send her to the hospital immediately via ambulance. We told the staff to use their best judgement and so there is no delay related to having to call us for permission. I'm super impressed by the empathy and loving care she enjoys with every staff member I've met. They all know her by name and say she's been a wonderful patient. My mom has always been a well-liked person, and they're kind to notice. Occasionally my mom gets very frustrated and/or angry, and can be a handful as I know well. They are capable of pacifying her quickly and she's back to her normal pleasant self in no time. There is a doctor who examines her on site, regularly. She has on-site physical therapy too, once or twice a week at a reasonable cost when it isn't covered by insurance. As I said, Mom came from a background of abject poverty in the hollars of West Virginia when her family had no money and were self-subsisting. Later in life, her financial status improved, but she had little money in the bank, which was exhausted in a year. With Autumns Leaves help and advice, we worked through the arcane Medicaid system in Wisconsin. Despite being in such a high class facility, she is 100% covered and no bills to pay. The whole experience is like a dream come true for me. I was very worried before we found Autumn Leaves, having heard so many horror stories about nursing homes. They have a specialty in memory care and it shows. It is a miracle that she can afford to live there for the forseeable future in a facility much better than any environment she's experienced in her whole life. So am I happy with Autumn Leaves of Franklin? That would be a "yes."

Absolutely amazing staff. Very clean and put together! They do fun activities 7 days a week and will do anything they can to help families and make sure that the residents are very well taken care of! Super happy and calming atmosphere! Clean rooms with private bathrooms and windows in each room... If I could mark more stars then 5 I would!

All of the staff at Autumn Leaves always work to make my fathers life a safe and happy one. Sheila the director treats the residents as family and always a top priority. My family was blessed to have them be apart of my dads care and apart of our lives.
