We have been looking for housing options for my Mom in the area that offered graduated care, and eventual memory care. Getting a hold of Christina Slape to get on the waiting list for an apartment was near-impossible. We finally got on the wait list nearly a year ago, but haven't been able to get any more information since then. We have called and emailed a handful of times to get more information since getting on the wait list. Every time we called the office, the front desk redirected us to Christina Slape's office voicemail. We have also tried the cellphone number Christina provided last December when we signed up for the wait list. We have not received a single return call or email since December of last year; just marketing news letters. We have asked the front desk folks if there is anyone other than Christina we could talk to in order to get some more information, but were told only Christina Slape could help us. In talking with other senior living communities in the area, we learned that our experience was not unique. While touring numerous other communities, we were asked what other communities we had been considering. Each time we mentioned Fieldstone of Olympia, we heard something along the lines of, "I hear they are a nice community once you get in, but very difficult, if not impossible, to get a hold of before that." That's been our experience. We understand that a community like Fieldstone cannot predict when space on a waitlist will open up, but the total lack of any responses to voicemails and emails has been incredibly disappointing.

I could not be more pleased with the care my 89 year old Mother receives at Fieldstone. Mom moved to Fieldstone in June 2020 from her own apartment where she had been living completely independent. Her first year at Fieldstone was under "Independent Living" but as she has aged, additional assistance has been needed for day to day and Fieldstone has been able to step up her care as needed without any problems at all. I have found the staff caring and efficient and management very responsive to the needs of myself and my mother. Mom enjoys the activities provided, the food in the restaurant and appreciates the care she receives from all the friendly staff. Before Mom moved to Fieldstone, I checked with friends in the Olympia area that were aware of various facilities and I was told that Fieldstone was the "Cadillac" of them all and I would wholeheartedly agree. I live out of state and cannot express the piece of mind I have in knowing that my Mother is being well taken care of at Fieldstone. I have complete confidence in the facility, its staff and management and would highly recommend Fieldstone to anyone looking to move to facility that can provide as much or little care as they may need in a comfortable, warm environment.
