I appreciate every aspect of Fieldstone Memory Care, from management, to medical staff, to individual caregivers, to food preparation and quality. Having transferred my wife from another memory care facility in Olympia, the improvement in overall care at Fieldstone is remarkable. I visit my wife once or twice a day, and have an opportunity to observe the caregivers on a daily basis, and I strongly believe that the individual care provided the residents is exceptional.

I am a geriatrician. I have take care of nursing home patients and long term care patients over my 43 years of health care. I placed my Mother in Fieldstone Memory Care Olympia at Thanksgiving time in 2023 when she was not able to care for herself properly or safely. In their environment, she has thrived, gained weight, and while her memory is still deteriorating her demeanor is more calm and less stressed. The staff is personable and caring and interested in each patient’s wellbeing. I am glad there was an opening that day and know that when the time does come for her to depart this earth, it will be in a caring, peaceful environment. Thank you.

I will be singing the praises for Fieldstone Memory Care to anyone and everyone I meet. My mother received loving, respectful, devoted, professional care from every member of Fieldstone Memory Care staff from the moment she entered the beautiful, well-equipped homey-feeling facility. From the office staff to the hands-on staff including med-techs and nurses, each and every person treated my mother and every resident with respectful, loving, professional care. In addition, the food is attractive, tasty and healthy, there are multiple appropriate activities throughout the day, and the 24 hour available courtyard is such a bonus. My mother was always clean, beautified, dressed in street clothes (pajamas at night) and HAPPY!! In a different facility she was made to feel 'stupid' and 'in trouble' for not following the rules. At Fieldstone she always felt respected, was never 'in trouble', and always said that she was happy. What a wonderful feeling to have my beloved mother happy when I talked with her, have her looking and feeling good. At Fieldstone my mother was loved and felt loved and was cared for exceptionally. She truly had a happy death--I will miss her terribly, but I am eternally grateful to everyone at Fieldstone Memory Care in Olympia, WA.

This place is like lipstick on a pig. Beautiful, but the beauty is only for families to feel better about the difficultly in placing a loved one in a facility. Town square? What a joke, it's empty most of the time, and closed off from the residents. Food on the memory care side was often cold and not appetizing at all. Woefully understaffed and high turnover. My mother experienced a severe life altering injury at this facility . Tools to lesson fall risk that were promised were never put in place, (despite my asking and staff asking) and access to her walker at night often forgotten despite numerous pleadings from myself and the staff. The night my mother had her injury there was agency on staff. She experienced an unwitnessed fall and was put back to bed, likely never checked on again until the shift change 7 hours later, when I finally got a phone call about the incident. Lies lies and more lies to cover. Even some documents signed after she had left the facility. Administrator at the time lied out her teeth to cover her butt (even threw her own staff under the bus). This "memory care" facility has so many problems, and it's hard to really know the extent when the state also refuses to do their job and investigations are not really done for a complaint and results often are not posted for people to see the true standard of non-care here. Go ahead and place your loved one in this *BEAUTIFUL* facility but be prepared to be there most of the time to hold them accountable to their promises and standards of care (minimum). Sadly while my mother was there, the facility got COVID (resident brought out coughing up a storm and sat right next to us in an exercise activity) and I was restricted from visiting at the time. We aren't the only ones that have suffered at the hands of this place. We should be ashamed as a society allowing these kinds of things to happen to our most vulnerable elders, and nothing ever happening to those responsible.
