Our parents spent their final years at Fairwinds Rivers Edge, and we can wholeheartedly say it was an exceptional experience for them. Choosing this facility was one of the best decisions we made, and we are deeply grateful for the care, comfort, and vibrant community our parents enjoyed during their time there. From the outset, Fairwinds Rivers Edge impressed us with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff’s dedication to creating a supportive environment was evident in every interaction. They made our parents feel at home, respected, and valued, fostering a true sense of belonging. The independent living arrangement at Fairwinds River Edge was perfect for our parents. They cherished the autonomy and freedom to live their lives independently while still having access to necessary support when needed. The balance between independence and assistance was exactly what they needed, allowing them to maintain their dignity and enjoy their golden years. The facility itself was impeccably maintained, clean, and beautifully designed. Our parents’ apartment was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the modern amenities to ensure their safety and convenience. The common areas were inviting and provided wonderful spaces for socializing and engaging in various activities. Safety and security were always top priorities at Fairwinds. Knowing that our parents were in a secure environment with 24/7 monitoring and emergency response systems gave us immense peace of mind. The facility’s protocols and measures to ensure residents’ safety were exemplary. As we reflect on our parents’ time at Fairwinds we are filled with gratitude for the exceptional care, support, and vibrant community they experienced. The dedicated team made their final years comfortable, joyful, and dignified. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a nurturing and dynamic independent living community for their loved ones. Thank you, Fairwinds! Sarah Define (James and Kathleen Pollum’s, Daughter)

Walked in for an impromptu visit on a Saturday night and couldn't have been more impressed. The facility and grounds are immaculately kept, every employee and resident we met were super welcoming and friendly, the services and activities offered are top notch. A special thank you to Cynthia and Yolanda for their stellar service and for making us feel so welcome.

I moved my Dad into Fairwinds back in April of 2021 what really sold us on moving him there was they “said” no matter how his health went they could accommodate. He could go into independent and move to the end(skilled) That is absolutely not the case!!! My dad started requiring more care than I was able to give, I asked Fairwinds to start doing more for cleaning, laundry and meds. from the time I asked them to start doing more ( we paid a pretty penny more each month for this) we started to notice a major urine smell, it kept getting worse and worse( to the point you did not wanna go in there) I figured it was from the urine soaked clothes. Until one day I got a look at his mattress without a sheet on it, to say I was absolutely disgusted and sick to my stomach is very much an understatement! It was so bad! No human should ever be sleeping in those conditions! I immediately called a Bio team to come haul away his mattress and had a new one for him. I should have been alerted that his mattress was in this condition, I’m not sure how they were changing sheets! They called 911 on my dad a few days after this and NEVER called me to let me know, the hospital called me hours later. I feel as though they failed him on so many levels! So I would definitely reconsider your thought of having your love one live here. The pictures attached are hard to look at! This was his mattress! We had to throw away the entire bed, the wood had maggots in it🤮 he is moved to a new place and literally night and day difference in him! FYI he is private pay!!!

Perhaps you could show a little more respect and concern for your staff then people who already have one foot in the grave. Without staff you don't have a leg to stand on. What is going to happen when all those uptight, rich old people who for whatever reason thinks the world owes them something come down for "happy hour 🙄" or God forbid dinner at 3 am and no one is there to "serve their highnesses"?
