Cornerstone Assisted Living

We first visited Cornerstone after doing some online research and being provided feedback from online social groups. We were told that Cornerstone was a great place to transition your love ones to. This feedback turned out to be true. From the first appointment, the tour, the intake process for my father, to moving in, what we read online matched our experience. We met with Michelle and Nichole from the front office. Walking through the facility, everything looked and smelled clean. Even the vents from the false ceilings were free of dust. One aspect to note is that all resident hallways lead to all of the essential services: main entrance, business office, cafeteria, etc. Being that my father is mostly blind, I felt the layout would be easy for him to navigate. On move-in day we were provided a flat bed cart. There was an a-frame sign with a welcome message for my dad that even had balloons attached. As we were sitting in my father's new room, staff from most of the sections, such as the nursing staff, came to greet my dad. I stayed the first night and had dinner. My father and I both had roast turkey, real mashed potatoes, and green beans. Dinner was really good and the turkey was seasoned well and fork tender. After the first day my father had already made a few connections with residents and is already eating with them. Of course there are a few things my father is getting used to that lead to some complaints, but everything he mentioned as a negative will be resolved as he learns how processes work at Cornerstone. We are using the basic care level so I don't have to worry about his medications. One big plus is that Cornerstone is locally owned and operated. Multiple residents provided unsolicited positive feedback. We 100% made a good choice for my father's care. Michelle Cintas was the MVP for the entire process.

Cornerstone Assisted Living in Vacaville is a very nice facility! My friend recently moved here and the accommodations are lovely. There's a theater and garden and activities room where they have bingo every week day. The cafeteria is spacious. It's very clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious as well. Take a tour if you're on the fence about where your loved one should be placed.

Cornerstone is a clean and lovely facility. The recent change of color palette in paint and carpeting is bright, posh and makes the main lobby area and community area inviting. Jennifer made our initial tour stress free and gave us invaluable information on the process to get a family member into their community. The entire staff is very welcoming, helpful and courteous. My husband and I can see a big change in his mother in less than 2 weeks since she moved in. There's an abundance of activities to keep her busy and morning stretch class to help mobility. The socialization with people her age has added a spark that's been missing while living alone in senior apartment life and she's happily out making new friends. Thank you Cornerstone.

My mom just recently became a resident of Cornerstone. As you can imagine, it was not easy to find assisted living that lived up the mine and my sisters expectations. Cornerstone has everything and more that we wanted for our mom. Jennifer helped us with the process and took the time to not only give us a thorough tour, but sit with us and answer any questions we had. For two hours, Jennifer guided us through the entire facility, leaving no stone unturned. The other facilities that we toured didn’t hold a candle to Cornerstone! Our mom is happy with her apartment, loves the staff that are dedicated to making sure her needs are met, and very pleased with us for finding her this gem! Cornerstone is, in my opinion, the gold standard of assisted living!
