What a wonderful place! My mom just moved in and every single staff person we have interacted with has been amazing. It is clean, bright, and welcoming. I am so glad we found Cogir!

Clean and friendly staff. Rooms are a good size. Dinner in room delivery leaves a lot to be desired. Cold dry corndog (diced). Pickled beet salad? And a sliver of lemon meringue pie. Pie looked good. But for the price of these places the food definitely needs improvement.

Zenith NEMT provides exceptional transportation for residents of Cogir Vacaville every day and we know first hand that they are a five star facility

The food and activities are decent. People are nice, HOWEVER, their communication is HORRIBLE. My dad lived there for seven years and people do not return e-mails, phone calls in a timely manner. Maintenance issue was never resolved on his back patio. Cosmetic issue yes but was told month after month it would be resolved and it wasn't. They will offer a discount to set up auto pay...DO NOT GIVE THIS RETIREMENT HOME A VOIDED CHECK for auto pay. Send a check or bill pay for monthly payments! When my dad passed away at the end of the month, I was told I had one day to get everything out of his home or be charged for another month, which I did. Cogir took advantage of the auto payment set up with the bank account and charged over $7,000 for the next two months unbeknownst to our family. Banks DO NOT freeze accounts right away when someone passes which is why this happened. Only one month has been credited so far. THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE USED HIS ACCOUNT AFTER HIS FILE HAD BEEN CLOSED OUT! SO just beware and keep loved ones financial information safe by using check or bill pay for the payments.. DO NOT LET THEM AUTO DEDUCT FROM YOUR LOVED ONES BANK ACCOUNT!
