As someone who previously worked in senior living and still spends time in the building, I’ve had the opportunity to see Commonwealth Senior Living at Kilmarnock from a unique and well-rounded perspective. What stands out most is the strength and experience of the leadership team. Their core values aren’t just something written on a wall—they’re reflected in how residents are treated, how families are supported, and how the team works together. The community itself has a warm, modern feel that truly lives up to what assisted living and memory care should be. It’s clean and welcoming from the moment you walk in. I also notice residents engaged and smiling. The staff knows their residents, which means a lot. It’s also worth saying how important a place like this is for a small town like Kilmarnock. Having a high-quality assisted living community locally means families can stay connected and loved ones can receive the care they need without leaving the area. We moved my Mom in around mid-March and so far the entire staff has been fabulous to her and to all of us. The food selections have been awesome and the kitchen works with us when we need to make adjustments. The aides have been super compassionate and genuinely listen to our concerns and questions - always willing to help. The administrative staff - from the friendly warm welcomes to the always popping in to see how we’re doing to always stopping to answer any questions or concerns. They’ve been a huge support team to our family since making this transition.

My mom has been at this facility for about one and a half years. We have been through many changes during this time, however, the new director and her staff changes have been so positive and show a true level of care and concern for the residents and their families. We look forward to the new programs and planned events! The staff is so friendly, helpful and very professional. I appreciate every person who works at CSL and cares for our loved ones who live there.

My Dad has been a resident of Commonwealth Senior Living for almost 5 years and really feels at home there. The staff has been very responsive and helpful to him, from med techs to housekeeping and maintenance . Dining Services spoils him with extra helpings of his favorites. Front desk staff are cheerful and chatty with him. I feel comfortable traveling to see the rest of our family because I feel he's in good hands at CSL Kilmarnock.
