I had to place my Dad in a Memory Care Facility two weeks ago. His memory has declined and can no longer live by himself. The staff at Pathways is exceptional. The life enrichment director goes above and beyond to figure out what my dad likes. They give him independence, but in a safe way. His quality of life has improved greatly already. He says everyone here is very nice. It 100% feels like a community where my Dad can thrive and feel somewhat in control. He can still have some independence, but have someone looking out for him 24/7. The staff has been VERY patient with him as he is adjusting. They have a FULL schedule of activities, music therapy, exercise classes, activities in which staff encourages and reminds them to attend. The way the village is designed, exits are not pronounced and there is a TON of bright light in every room because there are so many windows. It's the perfect size for Dad's condition.

My family and myself are so grateful to have found Browning Masonic Community. This facility and their staff go absolutely above and beyond for their residents. I unfortunately had to place my father into long term care in their memory support facility after I have been his full time caregiver for almost 4 years and this was not only the best decision for myself and family but also my dad. Heather who is in charge of life enrichment not only makes everything extremely seamless but she cares for my father as I would. This also includes all of the staff. My dad has not looked or felt this good in over ten years and he was only diagnosed a couple years ago. I’m forever grateful to this community and their amazing staff

After visiting several lovely adult day care centers geared to care for people with Alzheimer's and dementia three miles from our home we found Browning Masonic. They have an enlightened view of what is needed to keep your loved one happy and engaged. They have a great staff and superior floor plan whereby instead of being in one room all day the people visiting can walk miles in the secured Pathways wing, which looks like a great hotel with fireplaces, dining areas, and 'living rooms' throughout its thousands of square feet of space. It is beautifully decorated, with lots of outdoor light. The caregivers are kind and trained to assist people afflicted with these diseases, as well as, an R.N. to oversee any medical issues and run it. They serve lunch and snacks, sing songs, play games, watch movies and have quiet time. Family members are invited to stay as long as they like to help get their family member acclimated. I stayed 90 minutes the first day, 30 the second and now he can't wait to get his coat off and say hi to everyone. He doesn't need me at all. Your loved one can stay from 10:00-4:30 7 days a week and if you need some time away you can reserve a bedroom suite for your family member and they will take care of them while you are gone. It is staffed 24 hours a day with aides and an R.N. The best part is my husband who loves to walk comes home every day relaxed and happy AND is back sleeping all night.

Browning is a nice place if you are healthy and do not go off site for rehabilitation and develop memory issues and are not allowed to re-enter your room with your spouse. We had to re-locate our parents to Story Point. The level of nursing skill is much higher at Story Point.
