I strongly recommend that you think twice before bringing your loved ones to this facility. If you truly care about their well being, please do your research and consider other options. From the laundry and showers to the overall cleanliness, there are serious issues that need to be addressed. Residents deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, yet I have witnessed rude behavior toward residents and staff who do not always follow proper hygiene practices, including wearing gloves when serving meals. The facility also has serious pest problems, including mice and roaches. This is completely unacceptable in a place that is supposed to care for vulnerable people. You could be paying a significant amount of money for your loved one to receive proper care, so make sure you know exactly what you are paying for. Please visit the facility, ask questions, speak with residents and families, and pay attention to the conditions before making your decision. **Your loved one’s safety, dignity, and well being should always come first. Make the right choice.

People always treat my wife with kindness. She knows she's always safe, cared for and valued. Brookdale Farmington Hills North has a positive reputation in the community. It's the people who work there that make the difference and provide the value we pay Brookdale for. Caring for people with dementia is difficult work that requires tremendous patience, kindness and genuine compassion and respect for each resident. I see the associates every day caring beautifully for my wife, and they do that for all the residents.

My family member was originally in another memory care facility which was okay. My kids and I were hoping for something more and we ended up moving my wife to Brookdale Farmington Hills North. We have been very pleased with the facilities and the excellent staff. I just found out that the mother of one of my friends lived there 10 years ago. When our friend visited my wife she mentioned to a staff member that 2 staff members were particularly supportive and loving to her mother. They were both still at Brookdale. It is quite a compliment that the staff members have stayed for a long time!

In February 2024, I contacted Brookdale Senior Living (Farmington North) to inquire about the admission of my sister. I received an immediate response which resulted in meeting with and tour by Dan Spencer, Sales Manager. I did not know what to expect however I experienced what I wanted for my sister, a well maintained, organized, attention-to-detail setting which will care for her and keep her safe. My goal was to visit 5 assisted living settings then, make a decision. However, I decided during my visit to select Brookdale. I cancelled the other visits. A few days after meeting with Dan, I contacted him again to inquire about the admission of my brother-in-law. As with my sister, he provided the same attention to my questions and my brother-in-law’s needs. Now, both are residents of Brookdale. I have interacted with and observed many Brookdale staff and they all display the same qualities - genuine interest in the residents, respect of residents and their families, and willingness to ensure the needs of the residents are addressed. – Gwen Cook (March 14, 2024)
