Brookdale Cary has been a wonderful community for my uncle. He moved in over a year ago and, during that time, he has consistently received the care and attention he’s required, even as his needs have changed. The folks working there treat him with a personal touch that is always appreciated and frequently heart-warming. The staff and management communicate well with our family, being available when we have questions and reaching out when they have information to provide – or when there are highlights to share. We feel secure knowing my uncle is at Brookdale Cary, and, even better, he enjoys being there, taking part in the numerous activities and having attention paid to him. They do a great job!

We recently relocated my father-in-law to Brookdale Cary and are very pleased with the positive experience. The staff has been very engaged with the patients and are always welcoming to visiting family. We recently had the opportunity to enjoy dinner during a family theme night and had a wonderful time. Every staff member has been attentive and supportive with the patients.

Brookdale Cary is an exceptional community. The staff there are incredibly nice and always ready to help, ensuring that every resident is well-cared for. Their genuine compassion and dedication to providing care are truly commendable. Kentisha and Stacy have activities set up for the residents and family that are engaging and fun for everyone, there’s always something to look forward to. These activities not only keep the residents entertained but also help in maintaining their physical and mental well-being. Ray is amazing and has a passion for helping people. Iwona is caring and compassionate and leads with her heart. June has a true nursing heart and cares deeply about each resident. Walter makes delicious menus and food to keep everyone fed! Brookdale Cary is a wonderful place that prioritizes the happiness and health of its residents. The combination of a friendly, helpful staff and a vibrant activity schedule makes it a great choice for anyone looking for quality assisted living. Highly recommend!

I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. We were completely duped to move my father into the facility for dementia care. They spoke a big game about special events, field trips, personal care and delicious food. All promises were lies. We had him moved out in less than 48 hours. During that time we were able to take pictures of blatant neglect. The toilet in his room was broken and was not fixed for over 24 hours. The cafeteria floor was so sticky and dirty we thought it was a finish to prevent falls; it was not. Any time he or another resident needed help I had to search for a caregiver. I was able to talk to other family members who were there desperately trying to support loved ones who were not getting the care they were paying for. I did not come in contact with one family of a dementia patient there who said they would recommend Brookdale. They all were looking for the next move. We recognize the limits of group facilities due to NC laws, but this was horrible. I will say it has encouraged me to become an advocate for dementia care in the area. This is why I will continue to write about the experience at Brookdale Cary. Picture attached was a wheelchair bound resident who was left by herself in the cafeteria. She was yelling for someone to help her.
