From the moment we engaged with Brickmont of West Cobb, it became immediately clear that strong, compassionate leadership is a cornerstone of this exceptional community, thanks in large part to Brenda Thornton, the Executive Director. Her presence isn’t just managerial, it’s personal, heartfelt, and deeply committed to every resident and family who walks through the door. Brenda sets the tone for everything at Brickmont. The warmth, professionalism, and sense of calm you feel when you speak with her isn’t surface level, it’s real, and it radiates throughout the entire community. She leads by example, and that leadership fosters a culture of trust, dignity, and genuine care that you feel the moment you enter the building. The atmosphere at Brickmont is unlike anything else we toured. And it’s no accident, it’s a direct reflection of the values and tone set by Brenda. The staff don’t just “do their jobs”, they care. They smile. They greet residents by name. And they treat every family with respect, inclusion, and kindness. Brenda has built a team that mirrors her own high standards and warm approach. From the nursing staff to the concierge team, from the activity coordinators to the maintenance crew, everyone is on the same page, residents come first.

Brickmont of West Cobb truly wonderful. The community is absolutely beautiful, and welcoming. The staff are so warm, kind, and friendly. Everything was clean and fresh, and it just felt like such a lovely environment. I also had the chance to enjoy a meal, and the food was actually good! From the moment we connected with Brickmont of West Cobb, Emma LaPrade, serving as Community Relations Director, made our family feel heard and welcomed. Her warmth, professionalism, and compassion set the tone for everything that followed. The very first tour with Emma was not just informative, it was comforting. She took the time to understand our family’s needs, answered every question with patience, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Instead, she created space for us to process a difficult decision with kindness and clarity. Her genuine care and friendly personality made it feel less like a sales visit and more like being guided by someone who truly cares about the well being of your loved one. Emma stayed with us through the entire transition, from tour to move-in and beyond. She checked in regularly, helped with logistics, and was always available with a smile and a helpful answer. It's rare to find someone so friendly, professional, and deeply committed to what they do.

Walk in randomly and met with the marketing person. The building was clean and had a nice smell. We were in the market just researching as we are not ready to move forward with making a decision. While on the tour I was introduced to residents, staff, the clinical team and the Executive Director. All had nothing but nice things to say and it didn't feel forced like other communities we looked at. I feel like when we are ready for mom to move this will be our choice.
