Care

Assisted Living

A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.

Memory Care

Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.

Respite Care

Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

Pulling from a variety of reliable data sources, Walk Score® measures the walkability of any address, helping you understand how easy it is to live a car-free lifestyle. Transit Score®, when available, measures how well a location is served by public transit. Scores range from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating more amenities within walking distance and diverse transit options nearby.

My mother could no longer live at home on her own due to dementia starting and my brother and I looked around Quincy at assisted living facilities and decided on Bickford. As soon as you walked into their facility, it just felt like home. After meeting with their Executive Director and taking a tour, my brother and I felt like Bickford would be a great fit for our mom and she could take her beloved dog Bertha with her, which was a huge plus. Our mom has her own apartment, a dining room with great meals where she can order off the menu, there are always caregivers around to help her if she gets confused or needs help with Bertha, they do her laundry, clean her apartment and they are constantly having activities with the residents. Another bonus is that it is not a huge facility so now that my mom has been there for several months, everyone is like one big family. My mom never wanted to leave her home, but she is so happy now at Bickford and I have peace of mind knowing that she is safe and well cared for.

It's never an easy decision when it's time for a loved one to move out of their home and into an assisted living facility. My sister and I toured a few others and knew the minute we walked into the warm and welcoming Bickford Assisted Center and met the staff it would be a place she would feel safe and comfortable.

My mother lived at Bickford for only 6 months and it was a tough transition for her. As her family we often had to make decisions for her. The staff could not have been better. Everyone was welcoming and loving with mom. The nurses are amazing and the CNAs so compassionate. It starts at the top and Catelyn is a great leader. We are grateful to everyone there for caring for mom in such a loving way.

Even though my mother was only at Bickford for a short time. The staff made her feel like family. Cannot say enough good things about Katelyn Woodward and her top rated employees
